5. I wouldn't discount the importance and relevance of this thread...it's not by accident that Phandroid is now listed as the FIRST site on Verizon's own list of external sites to go and get the most accurate and timely information about Android (see pic below :cool:).

would i be able to go into a best buy and ask them to install my zagg shield even if i bought it from the zagg website. also how much would it cost, how long would it take roughly, and will it come out near perfect?

You cannot turn off Sense UI on the Incredible as confirmed here. I find this weird since I was able to turn off the home screen portion on my ERIS. But, the Desire does not have the feature either. The Desire that was shown in the youtube video was an early ROM that had everything implemented. HTC felt it necessary to except the stock files making it 100% HTC Sense. :(

If you guys are looking to put the new 3D gallery on your phone, you can visit here for a quick install. And for future reference, if you download it from your phone, you can go straight into installing it skipping a few steps and making life much simpler.

Anyone who has their phone already, can you confirm this? I would of liked the ability to use both.

I don't know if Best Buy will install it or not, but I just installed my first one about an hour ago on my wife's devour. It was pretty simple. Took about 10 min and I was extremely careful. It was only the front screen not the entire phone, but I believe thats all they are selling for the Incredible anyway.

My Incredible ZAGG is here and ready for when the phone arrives. I think the hardest part is going to be letting it dry for 12 hours and not use the phone. ;)

We need to start a thread about how we're going to "dispose of" our old phones (Storm 1 for me). I was thinking about making a video of me hurling it against the brick of my house but was told by a co-worker that I needed to be "more inventive". Can we say rocket catapult?

And Ricky, you are so right. The internet was BLAZING fast. I loaded up phandroid in 0.2 seconds flat. My laptop isn't even that fast.

Unless the guaranteed delivery date is Christmas week. I had a package that I ordered on 12/21 paid second delivery to be delivered on 12/24/09 and didn't get it until after Christmas. Fedex's response was "sorry we don't guarantee delivery starting two weeks before Christmas". They are of course happy to steal your money and give you the guarantee but just not deliver.
The funny thing is I ordered something from UPS that same day and received it on 12/23. Too bad Verizon isn't shipping via UPS.

P.S. My Inc delivery date is 4/28.

I would think that it would vary by location. Such as what time the plane or truck arrives at the FedEX facility closest to you. The last order for my parents showed the van left North Platte at 9:38 AM on 4/13. Hope that helps you.

We are giving the wife's phone, without battery, to our little 2 year old so she can "talk" when she wants to.

Mine's a Moto Entice, keeping it for a backup. Right now I've got about 4 older phones in case one of mine or a family member's craps out, all Moto flips. The Incredible will be my first smartphone and third manufacturer (Moto, Nokia, & now HTC). Can't wait!!!!!!!!:D

Nah, it's just a deposit, fully refundable. Or should be anyways. You give 'em $50, they give you a receipt. They can't force you to buy anything.

Right, that's what I was saying. I just remember others saying you can't. I just wanted anyone who still thought this to know that it wasn't true.
 
Okay, I'll join in for any newcomers who want to know...

Ordered today online at 1pm.

Up until 8:30 pm (tonight) status said the proverbial "Order Status: Your order is awaiting approval or phone availability. Please check back in a few days"

Checked at 9pm tonite, now it has the wonderful "Your order has been processed. You should receive your order within 2 - 3 business days."

I've joined the club, and I just ordered it today!

EDIT: I ORDERED FROM THE VERIZON WEBSITE FROM ON MY DROID, THAT WAS KINDA COOL

the girls at the BB by me tried to tell me it was not refundable. I told em watch me NOT buy it from you with that kind of crap. They also never bothered to return my call on the NE2 question... those people are just burger flippers. They dont care about actually making a sale/creating customer loyalty.
 
Well the Verizon Check your status site is down again. Good thing I can keep hitting f5 on Fedex's site. Sadly I already know the phone won't hit portland, or until midnight and outside of redmond for another 4 hours after that.
 
Has anyone received this status:

"Your order is currently being processed, please check back tomorrow."

I ordered on 4/20 and everything is taking forever. It just changed to this status about 6 hours ago. Before that it said "We received your order. Please check back tomorrow.".

What's going on?

LOL sorry, but everything has just been at a snails pace for me. I finally got my status to change yesterday but it went to the dreaded "We received your order. Please check back tomorrow."

Now I finally get some action today and it says processing but nothing even hit my bank account yet. I know I'm probably just overacting but everyone is getting their orders moved and I'm getting antsy! :p
 
Mine DI is coming Wed. instead of on Tues I lost my place in the queue b/c they couldn't process my order until the credit dept. processed my answer to their tiny tiny question... I would of been GREAT to get my device tomorrow, but I'll live... I think my Eris knows.... It's been acting EXTRA shady since last Sunday at 12:01am when pre-ordering started...

I ordered the purple snap on case & the 3 pack of VWZ screen protectors. They will be here tomorrow :D. Which will give me a chance to get an idea of what time with FedEx delivers here (just moved here so I have no idea I only know the UPS guy).

Does anyone have any sources of where I can find some 'feminine' looking cases. I adore the case on my Eris! It's the High Gloss (got it from a Corp. VWZ store) in a purplish color & has swirls on the back. It gives the phone grip but still enough slip, lol... I love the way it feels it's soft but not flimsy feeling (the case isn't on the Verizon site so I borrowed from my blog)
