Yay got our phones! They came with free 2gig SD cards (and 8gig internal LOL) Wow a very slim phone. I expected it to be bigger and more bulky than the Eris' we have in service.
 
I also dialed *611 to get the SMART30 discount. She said I would have to cancel my order and resubmit, but I told her my order was "on a truck for delivery" so she just credited by bill $30. Works for me...


4th time was a charm... spoke to the lovely Jessica..... she didnt do much checking and got mgr approval and gave me the credit.... yaaaah baby....

It's charging while I take a deep breath and read the info and then have a private moment with my BlackBerry Curve that has been a perfectly fine phone for my needs and then we will be up and running. I have 4 hours alone with my Incredible before my husband gets home :D

Tracking doesn't matter if it doesn't f***ing move in a day & a half! Just tried the SMART30 coded for the third time and a no go. With the way Verizon has handled this I'm about two steps from rejecting it IF it gets here and waiting out my 4 months and being done with them.:mad:

Now why would you think that? The specs clearly show the Incredible to be mildly longer and wider yet still thinner.:) Enjoy that beast, I can't wait till tomorrow.:D
 
One a side note, while i was talking to the internet sales rep she said that 2 of their 4 warehouses ran out of phones but they received shipments today. that was the reason for the slow down in processing of orders. She said they had to stop processing orders. She also said that over 10,000 phones went out of their Ontario warehouse these past 2 days.
 
Thats such a great story! Have fun with your new phone! I will get mine tomorrow and will be not getting much sleep tonight in anticipation.. :p

In a very Steve Martinesque ("the new phone books are here...the new phone books are here...")way I just ran up the street towards a FedEx truck I saw parked a block away. To paint a picture for you, I am a nearly (eh, over 40 but not by much) PLUS sized woman. I had gotten up this morning to go exercise so I threw on my exercise clothes. Then I checked my email to find out my phone was on the truck out for delivery even though it wasn't scheduled until tomorrow by 7p. So, you have this very plus size woman running up the street with her ID waving her arms at the FedEx guy as he starts to pull away a BLOCK away. He passes me. I yell. He stops. By the time I get back to his truck he isn't even his seat. I hear noises from the back of the truck and he says, "Lisa?" I was trembling, "Yes, that's me." He then hands me the thing to sign and then my phone all the while he is saying he wishes he could get a new phone. I tell him he should get the Incredible blah, blah, blah...all the while clutching it to my chest. We are home. It's charging while I take a deep breath and read the info and then have a private moment with my BlackBerry Curve that has been a perfectly fine phone for my needs and then we will be up and running. I have 4 hours alone with my Incredible before my husband gets home :D

I can't wait for everyone here to have their phones and feel this wonderful, albeit strange, feeling of excitement.
 
Oh, yes. I just called Verizon and asked them to apply the SMART30 promo code to my Incredible order. He said he couldn't do the discount because I didn't order my phone inside of the promo window, but he discounted the red/black gradient case I just ordered. So now I'm getting my case for free. For all of the complaining about Verizon's shipping methods I've been hearing, I for one think they deserve credit for their kickass customer service.:):):D

I called earlier today to ask some questions about changing my plan and the first guy was clueless so I asked for a manager, on hold for 23 minutes before the manager got down my name and number and will call me back in 24-48 hours.
 
Mine finally departed from Memphis!

Called VZW and spoke to very nice csr who was able to credit my bill for the smart30 promo. First they move my NE2 up 5 months. Then I get the online discount. Then I get the smart30 promo. Freaking awesome. Scheduled for delivery tommorow. Can't wait!

it all depends on WHO you talk to.... the new line only crap is just that... they are giving it to customers who call and are upgrading... took me 4 calls..... :D
 
wow, i cant believe Verizon. I just got a call form one of the CSR's i was chatting with at my local store. Letting me know they have gotten their shipments in, they have 10 available. Unfortunately she said that they can't hold them, but if i get there when they open that I'll definitely get one. She knew all about people getting them early and said unfortunately they are not able to sell them early.

She also said that there is the possibility that there were too many preorders and some people may have to wait for the 2nd round. She mentioned something similar happened with the BB Storm and there were MANY upset customers. Good luck to you guys who preordered recently...some of you MAY be waiting.

In any case, she is setting up my account for one extra line @ 9.99 a month and giving me the phone for $269 (since i was going to pay full retail) and it will end up saving me nearly $200, nice!

I was chatting with her for a good 20 minutes...if that isn't customer service, i don't know what is!
