You're an idiot. You were perfectly happy with the price of the phone an hour ago, but as soon as you find out about a promo code you flip your lid. If anybody got the discount, BONUS. If you didn't *shrug* no skin of your nose, you never thought you were getting a bonus in the first place.

ding, ding, ding. Exactly, you're not "out" anything.
 
That sucks, were you one of the few that go the " check back tomorrow" e-mail?

Yep, I had that dreaded status. However, I am now being told that the west center's stock was replenished with phones as of 5:00 p.m. pacific time. They say I should get my order processed and shipped tomorrow. We will see!!
 
So the first iPhone took, like, 72 days to sell a million units, right?

If they're already selling out of that initial 156,000 units that was on the leaked inventory pics, before the launch date has even arrived, how long do you think it'll take to sell a million Incredibles? :)

I think once this phone gets out in the wild amongst other Verizon users or even non verizon users its going to be a huge seller, with advertisement on top of that ... people that had no choice but to get a iphone and on ATT will also be rushing into it I should think for a better coverage ... we just didn't have a smartphone that was quite good enough .. now the flood gates will/should open ... nothing holding people back anymore .. great coverage and an even better phone ... this is all that was needed the whole time.

Them making sub par phones because they thought the average buyers wouldnt either know the difference or wouldnt care will hopefully something we wont have to deal with in the future ... great equipment would suit me just fine, maybe Verizon will finally wake up to this "ridiculas" notion lol. :D
 
First time poster here. I figured now is the best time to say, "Hola" to the thread. As of 5:30 PM CST, I walked up to my house to see a little FedEx package. I swear the heavens were shining upon it. Honestly! :)

In all seriousness though, it's been a great end to the day. Not only was I able to get my phone but also a 2 GB micrso-sd that's coming in the mail. Yes, my phone DID NOT come with a card. Not a big deal because I plan on buying a larger capacity card soon but I had to call VZW anyway so I thought I'd ask. Long story short, they are sending me one and I should receive it in two days. I stopped reading at p. 937 but I thought I saw a few comments about no 2 gb card. For those that don't have one, maybe you will get lucky like I did and score one. The CSR said it was a $12 value.

Also, I called a local VZW store to see if they would sell any accessories. At first he was hesitant and then asked, "Do you have the phone?" I said yes and he said, "So you're one of the lucky ones - bring it in and we should be able to help you out".

Good news all around.

For those that are interested, my order # was 32737**** and my order date was 04/19/2010.

Well today was an incredible day. I broke 3 PR's in my track meet today in the 100(3rd place), 200(2nd place), and 400(4th place). My car got back from the shop. To top it off got my call from best buy to make an appointment for my phone. I am SUPER happy, nothin against the incredible but breaking 3 PR's was definatly my favorite thing today.
 
I have to admit I was pretty much hell bent that I was going to wait til Verizon came out with something better than the Iphone before moving to a smartphone ... I just can't see myself as an Iphone user anyway ... although that sure wasnt the only reason, ATT service sucks here and I like to get value from my dollar, ...my motto is, i'll pay the price but it better be good damnit!
 
Does anybody know what the passcode lock for Sense is like? I know stock Android has the pattern thing, but I've never seen it on a Sense one. Thanks!

I've been reading the frustration in a lot of the shipping posts, and thought I would share a rare, but welcome "nice" store concerning my dealings with the internet order CR's.

Like everyone, I've been refreshing my order status page since Sat. Nothing seemed to be moving. Sun. evening, my status changed to "Order Status: Your order is currently being processed. Please check back tomorrow." That's how it has stayed.....LOL.....that's even what it says now as I'm typing.

So, this morning, I called and talked to a nice internet order CR. She told me it was being processed, processing would be completed on Wed, and it would go out as a 2-day shipment on that day. I was very nice to the lady, and during out conversation, I pointed out that if it's shipped 2day, I wouldn't get it until Fri. So, she put me on hold and talked to her Sup. As it turned out, they bumped me up to over night air, and tried to expedite my order processing.

After work, I called again to check on the status, as the website still said it was being processed. This time I got another nice girl. At first I thought it was the same CR. When I asked her, she laughed because the notes told her I'd talked to her friend that morning. She checked my status and confirmed it was being processed and would go out to FedEx in the first batch tomorrow as an overnight shipment. Happily, I headed home relatively satisfied that I would actually get it on time.

Well, when I got home I checked the status....no change. Then I checked my email. It had the tracking number and ETA of 4/28 3:00 PM. It looks like I'll have it early.....if only by a day.

I know most us have had our share of issues with the competency of the CR's and the capability of the CRM they are using. But this was an unexpected experience.

I can truthfully say I stay with VZ because of the network and not because of the customer support. But today, they have made me a very happy man.

I have a friend who has an iPod. He actually has gloves with special finger pads that let him work his iPod while wearing gloves. I'll check them out when I'm at his place tomorrow night to see if they work w/ the DI.
