But thats only his one opinion :) on when he believes it will be released.

All we can wait for is real confirmation of when the phone is going to be released, otherwise everything is just a bunch of bologna.

Im hoping for March 27th because thats when im going to go get a new phone probably.

Agreed! However, he's been one of a few solid sources of information about this phone, so even though it's an opinion, it's most likely based upon more information than we have.

Either way, I would love this phone to come out on the 27th, and yes, I'm still hopeful of the same thing, but my gut is telling me otherwise.

Hey apang, anything new on your end re the release of this thing? Haven't seen you around in a while:D

Edit: My decision on the N1 or HTCI will be dependent on if this question is answered. If i get the N1 from verizon will i be able to use a sim card on it if i travel out of the country, or will it be just CDMA, i know with BB's it has Sim-card slots, do you think the VZ N1 will also have one? Thanks..
Specs confirmed for the Incredible do not include a SIM card slot, unfortunately, which is somewhat important to me as well. No one has seen the CDMA variant of the N1 for either Sprint or Verizon yet, so it's too early to tell.

You should check into Skype or Google Voice as im pretty sure you can do international calls with them when you have Wi-fi acess. Just something you should check out before you switch carriers or pick your phone.

Do you guys think verizon will advertise the incredible as awesome as they did with the Moto Droid commercials?
Nah, probably not. They spent a ton of money on advertising the DROID. There will probably be a few commercials here and there with some banners etc..but i doubt anything to the extent of the DROID.

The travel of word is the best form of advertising :) (basically people talking about it to others haha)

Still getting the same info. They are being 100% truthful to me and I am still sticking with that date (27th).

My reasoning is that there is no sense as to why they wouldn't release it a week or two before the N1. Doesn't make sense that they would sell something that they didn't carry in the store. If they did that, that would mean they would loose the chance to unload their own inventory versus helping someone else unload their inventory.

As far as the specs go, he was only able to provide the specs on the test phone. He informed me that he has the specs on the final phone but could not give any information. I didn't press it since I'm sure just like and other company e-mails going in and out are watched.

One more thing...
I am still sticking to my original theory of them announcing 1-2 days before its released like they did with the Eris.

The Droid was a whole other beast and it was their first "super phone" for the Android OS. Why wouldn't they shell out the money for advertising. Next round of phones, they won't need to spend a whole lot of $$$ with CITA and all the tech sites out there advertising for them. I have yet to see anything for the Devour and thats being sold by Best Buy and Walmart for a few weeks now.

That's my 2 cents...:D:D:D:D

Imagining having that thing in hand in a week (for those that buy in store) or so is fantastic.

If they do end up announcing it 1-2 days before releasing it then they won't be announcing it on the 23rd but on the 25th the last day of CTIA.

Another new poster here...Hi! A lurker who found this site looking for the new Verizon phone. And I seem to be around some awesome people. I am addicted to this forum like crack..so much for MCAT and school studying. I also have the Dare (Shocked I wasn't the only one).
Anyways, I cannot wait for the HTC Incredible to come out.
When is Verizon's press conference during CTIA?

there was a commercial for the devour during the superbowl with megan fox.. not sure if it was for the devour or just droid but it was the devour

Honestly, I'm tired of all these rumors about whether the Incredible will be what we all think it will be, or if its being confused with the supersonic, or if these so called "reps" and "testers" are fake. The past couple days have been a ton of "what if we're wrong" nonsense and it was just recently that someone posted something that makes me look at this whole thing in a completely different way. Apang posted his opinion on the whole situation up above, and it was the first post in a while that i actually thought, "hey, ya know what, screw the 'what ifs' and just trust the one guy that has been faithful to us all along." If im gonna trust anyone at this point, its gonna be apang and his source. And right now, as far as im concerned, we're getting our Incredibles on the 27th.

There's my 99 cents...

Has their been any new news since last Wednesday? I haven't been able to get close to a computer much allowing me to visit this site. Thanks :)

Here's a thought. Until someone can get either Eric Schmidt, Ivan Seidenberg or Peter Chou, the launch talk is superfluous as we wont know anything til Wednesday. Because I already think someone is having a laugh with us.

Sucks to be you. They gave out a limited number of pre order tickets for the Incred on the Verizon website. Now they're out. Sorry.:D

that's why i dont really pay attention to any of the dates here until there is something official

no reason for anyone to get worked up yet

With a few things happening on Monday at CTIA is there any chance we may hear a little bit of info on Monday or is Tuesday our best bet for some good news?
