I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I am getting psyched for CTIA! The announcement of the Incredible is going to light that place up. I wonder if VZW will announce it the first day to really kick things off or if they'll try to build a little suspense and hold off until day 2 or three. Whatever, I have been waiting 10 months, I can wait another day or two for the Mac Daddy of phones!

Are you in Mars? :confused::confused::confused:

If Verizon would drop the 2-for-1 @$199 thing for the Droid and just offer single handsets for $99 or less, I'd probably just get one. I don't need two, because my wife isn't going to want to change phones after just one year. The BB Storm has been fine for her, because all she does is phone, text, and e-mail. No apps or web browsing. For me, the Storm has been an absolute nightmare. A Droid would be a huge upgrade, but if I have to cough up 199 beans, I'll wait for the Incredible.

could the countdown timer on Verizon's site for their buy one get one free offer ending also be a subtle way to countdown to the release of a new phone? possibly the incredible??

He's not just some random manager, he is one of my best friends. Grew up together and we've been playing in a band together for the past 10 years. He wouldn't just BS for hype or a sale or anything like that. He genuinely was telling me what he thought as a friend, not a customer or even a *spy* from a forum. I didn't even tell him I was snooping around. I went in just asking what was up.

If I understand correctly, no one is saying that your friend is lying. I think they're just saying that it is highly unlikely that Verizon would scrap the phone when it looks to be pretty much finished. If they did make that decision, they better be rolling out LTE sooner than we think or counting on the Shadow to combat the EVO. I hope that the Incredible comes out soon, and another phone be developed for LTE in time for that launch next year.

I just realized something... I'm on here more than I'm on Facebook. This forum is honestly more entertaining and I have almost as good of friends on here as I do on Facebook. Sad? Maybe. haha

That's not such a bad thing. If your Facebook is anything like mine, I don't wanna see what half of the idiots I went to high school with have to say. If I have to read one more status update from a fat rich kid about how health care is going to cripple the economy... I might die. I only signed up to see what some people were doing... and because my girlfriend wanted me to so she could "heart" me.

OK, a video game. Again, I doubt a guy who lives in the mountains of Montana and is a professional journalist plays a lot of video games. Personally, I've never heard of the game.

The game was actually pretty popular. Won a couple of awards, came bundled with a handful of other best selling games and ended up making that bundle a best seller, too. If you ever get a chance and you like puzzles, it is a great game that I would recommend to anyone. It honestly has to be in my top 10 PC games of all times. FWIW, I've been gaming since the early 90s. Sure, there wasn't any COD back in those days, but the games were still just as good (probably better).

gabe newell secretly controls verizon

Then the phone might never come out. Oh... I get it now. =P

I am about done with this forum. We don't know jack, no one knows diddly and all we hear are what-ifs and freaking maybe's. Unless you have a pic, dead on provable connection, then just STFU and be quiet

NOOOOO!!!! I understand that you are frustrated, we all are. It's okay. The phone will eventually come out and most of us have been around here long enough that we can sense when someone is completely full of it. That aside, after watching your blog... I totally wanna work for you. As my first order of business I will browse the forums daily and report back to you on the things that are worth seeing. Should shave a couple hours off your day. You're welcome... boss. =P

Sorry for the length, but I had too many posts to reply to.

And the Incredible has officially driven a person to complete insanity.

And it will now be called the HTC Insanity.

Just a little. If I put myself in a trance-like state, I can put my mind back to March 20th when my anticipation and excitement were building, instead of today when I am essentially spiritually crushed and demoralized and about 3 days behind at work. I was a lot happier 5 days ago. I think I am going to go stay there until something happens that is a legitimate cause for hope.

The HTC Droid Eris was spotted in inventory and leaked on web on Sept. 9, 2009. Then it was released on November 6, 2009.

Following this formula for the Incredible, it was spotted in inventory on Feb. 24, 2010. So 65 days later would be April 30.

I sure do hope it comes sooner though...

So prolly a dumb question for what you guys consider... but does sense ui work with google voice and google search? I am talking about how it is integrated with the driod and i like the feature of speach to search/navigation/so on.. With the Incredible running Sense over eclair will i still be able to use this feature? Thanks.

Your friend knows very little about how phones work if he thinks they are "reworking" it for LTE. LTE is going to require a much larger battery (source: college LTE labs) & re-certification through the FCC. The design would have to change and thus also change the code name making it an entirely different phone. Verizon isn't stupid enough to push LTE until they get the battery tech to support it.

True, they would have to scrap the whole damn thing. Now there could be an Incredible 2 on the drawing board for LTE. But at the very least LTE needs another frequency to the radio and hence the need for new FCC approval. I would imagine internal hardware outside of the radio would need to be changed as well.

Yes it will.

So I've been following sporadically today. The last possible bit of good news for the day may come from Montana on the specifics of the 6300 box later on correct? Still holding out hope.

This is based on little more than speculation on my part, so take it with a grain of salt if you prefer...

Back when I still used "dumb phones," I managed to get 3 phones (the enV2, enV3, and Alias2) from CS from 1-2 weeks before they were released. My strategy was to call and say "Hi, I'd like to order the vx9200" (or whatever the model # was). I always used the model number, not the "nickname" of the phone (because it seemed like if I said "enV3" or whatever, then the rep knew it was coming soon but not yet available and so they'd say "Oh, yeah, that's not out yet, sorry."). I never asked if it *was* available; I just acted as if I knew it was. Three out of three times, this strategy worked. So I tried calling today and saying I wanted to order the HTC adr6300, and was told it wasn't in their system. At that point I did say it was called the Incredible, and the rep said he hadn't heard of it and asked me if I was sure I didn't mean Omnia II, Eris, Imagio, etc. So just based on that, my hopes are not very high for a release within the next few weeks. Hopefully MM will come along later and prove me wrong though. :)

mickeymjay @jason_dockery @thehometownhero How about you check our the #Devour and give us your feedback. Do it now :-) about 7 hours ago via TweetDeck

barryswallace Hi Barry, Have you checked out the Motorola Devour yet? You should, tell us what you think. about 7 hours ago via TweetDeck in reply to barryswallace

Seriously thinking of signing up for Twitter to tell them to get their head out of their @ss and quit suggesting the Devour to those asking about the Incredible. They don't even come close to each other. Why would they think they can pacify someone who wants the Incredible with the Devour?

Hahah one of those is my twitter account :)
