Anyone have an answer to whether or not this thing has an microSD card slot? In unconfirmed, it lists a card but I can't find any mention of the slot itself. I was trying to look over the images and I can't find one. The rumors of the on board flash of 6 or so gigs has me wondering if this thing is going to be built like an iPhone with no expansion. Any ideas or references?

If Verizon released this phone around the time the Supersonic was released then people would argue which is better Incredible vs Supersonic? Wouldn't Verizon want people to consider it more of a battle between Incredible vs iPhone?

Edit: Does anyone know when Flash 10.1 will be on the phone? I'm pretty sure there testing it now but not really positive as I don't know much about it.

I honestly don't think there will be much marketing for the Incredible. I think they are going to wait to put all their resources behind the Motorola Shadow and put HTC in the backseat again like they did with Droid and Droid Eris. That's the way I see it. This isn't saying that the Incredible is going to be a bad phone, but it will be shortly outdated by the Moto Shadow which is expected to release May-June (I think that's what I read).

Yes it does. That was confirmed by our guys that have had a test unit in hand so there's no question here. If you search the thread, you'll see some conversation about it.

dissapointing woop, but on a side note, i've been gnawing on a giant chocolate bunny the entire day

i'm pretty sure it just means - embargoed as in no "official word" is out yet or allowed to for that matter. something HTC is keeping on double secret probation.
This is actually good for us - b/c IMO - all signs point to Incredible!

Hmmm..... not bad.

I went into Besy Buy yesterday to ask if they could check the system for new devices, the clerk was more interested in doing her nails than attending to me and my questions. She did not even bother to look, she just said "I haven't heard about any new phone coming out." She then went back to her personal manicure.

Yeah...but was she hot? And...did you ever stop to think that maybe she just wasn't that into you? :p JK of course!:D

I was getting scared for a minute there. Thanks for the info.

I thought the same thing because I have always known embargoed to mean it was blocked from being imported and to me sounded like Apple had gotten their way.

But then I googled and what I found makes more sense.

Verizon/HTC embargoing a new phone so they can release/announce it when they are ready makes more sense.

Well what does this mean for a possible announcement. Will HTC/Verizon come out and give a time frame for release...or be vague and say "coming sooon"?

It maybe not even be Verizon that was just wishfull thinking on my part from the OP it only says HTC and nothing about which provider.

To those questioning if Best Buy is seeing new phones in their inventory...I check every day I work and nothing new yet. As soon as I see something you all will be the first to know.

Nothing at Dell in their inventory either. Checked with them again this morning.

Found this on the CITA site. I wonder what the embargoed product is...

International CTIA WIRELESS 2010

Mobile CE — Phone/Smartphone

  • Motorola BACKFLIP™ with MOTOBLUR, Motorola Inc.
  • Nokia X6 16GB, Nokia
  • Product Embargoed, HTC
  • Samsung I8530, Samsung Telecommunications America
  • Saygus VPhone, Saygus, Inc.

This is found in the CITA E-Tech Awards Finalists section. So whatever this unnamed phone is it is up for an award.

And the winner will be announced on March 24th at 2 pm

Confused at to why Dell would show a verizon phone in their inventory:confused:

Dell has their own Dell Mobility which they launched in the Fall in anticipation of the release of their own phone this Summer. They have phones for all carriers, including the Droid for $24.99 for new customers and $49.99 with upgrade. Their prices are right in line with Amazon, and typically less than what you would find at Best Buy. They also have online chat with their sales reps, which makes it very convenient to have them check their inventory right then.

FYI: Dell Mobility Store
