***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

Does anyone else find it interesting that the User's guide says "HTC Incredible with Google?" Phones with custom UI's typically do not get the Google branding. The Eris for example says Droid Eris by HTC. Is the Incredible going to be a Google Experience phone with SenseUI?

What are your thoughts?

Hope this isn't some new 'Skype-like' Social networking announcement. Don't get me wrong, I like new features, but I really hope this Monday is related to devices, not network features.

Not to mention they say "It's New, It's Unique, living exclusively...."

To me this indicates they're referencing something singular, I would assume if they're going to announce more than one device, it would say "They're New, They're Unique"....

Anyone else care to share their thoughts??

Maybe "It's" refers to the news and not the phones!??!? Eh? Eh? Ever think of that possibility?:D
 
It's likely going to be an announcement of multiple phones not just from Microsoft. Kind of like Verizons own "CTIA" maybe?

Ok, those that posted after me, I'm thinking I'm in agreement with all of you, this must be the Microsoft Pink crap. The one thing I don't understand though is, I never got the feeling that Microsoft's Pink phones were that hyped, so why all the internal hype for something that just seems so 'average'. It's got me shaking my head.:confused:

Well it's a Microsoft hosted event and there's suppose to be 2 "Pink" phones that are coming to Verizon, maybe we'll see the VP or something pull out a Incredible kinda like they did with the Droid and Droid Eris before they were announced.

Yes, you should be able to do it. I do it all the time with my family plan.

In fact, I'm doing it with the Incredible. You don't have to complicate it so much though. Just tell them you have an upgrade available on a different line, and you'd like to use it to purchase the Incredible, but that you'd like to activate the line for your droid.

The consequence of this is that you will be renewing the contract on the older phone line.

(example: my grandma's line is ready for an upgrade. She doesn't want/need a new phone. So I will be renewing her contract, but I will be getting the new phone)

Hopefully it is all of the above...considering that the Incredible documentation points out specifically "Sense UI with Friendstream..."

...of course I am grasping at straws, here?

Even if they don't announce it tomorrow, I still think there's a chance it will be announce sometime next week...
 
Sorry to bring up microsdhc cards again, but, will i be able to store my music partially on the card and on the phone? or will it only let me choose one storage space for all my music? I'm thinking those 16gb are out of my budget and might just settle for 8gb..
 
So here's a thought:

Verizon hasn't announced the Microsoft Pink phones yet and they're not available anywhere yet, right?

Let's all pay attention to how long it takes for this phone to actually be available and where it is available. It might be a pretty good indicator of how the launch for the Incredible goes.
 
I am 100000000 % confident they will not announce the Incredible at a Microsoft event. I still think we are 1 to 2 weeks out before launch and advertisement.
 
This forum has gone from the sublime to the ridiculous. I want a new phone as much as anyone here (I am using a Storm 1 - need I say ANYTHING more?) I am looking for any new useful or actually interesting or worthwhile) information here. I am scrolling through the pages as fast as I can turn the mouse wheel and I STILL cannot keep up! In doing this - I am only stopping at posts with more than about 15-20 Thank You's. So, I am wondering, would it be possible to modify the forum code to permit users to set a parameter to only show posts with at least # Thank You's? # might be settable to 0, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128. That way, I could actually keep up with the good stuff and let those wanting to use this forum as an anxiety support group or a special interest chat room do that. I'm not at ALL against those uses - it has just become difficult to get to the juicy stuff with so many posting. This IS a great forum - it is just reeling from the traffic.
 
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't understand all the requests for invites to "Google voice". If you have a Google or gmail account, you can just go to the "My account" page and download Google voice for free. I have several gmail accounts and the option is there in all of them :confused:
 
Mother of god...If they don't take this chance to announce the Incredible and try pushing some emo Microsoft "pink" phone...I may take this weekend to break out the pitchfork and torch...I feel a riot commin' on Monday...

If anyone has an extra GV invite to spare I would greatly appreciate it. PM me. Would be INCREDIBLE to use this feature when I get my new INCREDIBLE.

Maybe it will be announced like iphones, "Just one last thing, now for a phone with a decent OS."

Best bet is to call customer service and threaten to leave. Ask for a supervisor if needed.

But you could always add a second line for $10 a month and have it as an extra line to be able to upgrade on again in the future. Thats what I do.
