I've been thinking....we here are all VERY excited to get the new droid incredible because we have been speculating about the release and following the developments. However, to the rest of the general public that have not been researching about upcoming android phones quite possibly don't even know about the phone. Verizon's current list of phones does not show it. YOu must search it to find the pre-order "ad". Also, I have yet to see one ad from verizon to pop up on the TV, radio, or internet. So, my conclusion is, that if we (the ones who are interested in getting it asap,) go to the store the first day it is released, we should without a doubt be able to get it. THe release to the stores will quite possibly the first time many hear about it. Even when reviews come piling in, it will still be very "new news."

Maybe THAT has to do with the Apple/HTC lawsuit? I was thinking for a flagship phone, they haven't said a word about it on TV!

I actually stopped by my Costco to see if they had a functional Eris so I could show my husband Sense UI. They said they didn't sell them because there were "problems when they first came out" and "Costco doesn't pick up a phone if it has any issues".

If that's true, maybe they are waiting for make sure everything runs smoothly before they add it to their line up. Perhaps they got badly burned by the Storm1?

Yes, that too. Been lurking here for a couple weeks. Been watching the slow trickle about the Inc. prior to that for a while longer. Been driving the little lady crazy with all my tech chatter about how awesome it's going to be. Anywho, thanks for all the awesome info over the last couple days, everyone!
 
Ha, Ha, Ha - Anyone know what a Nexus One is? Jeez, they might as well take that coming soon banner off the Nexus One page. But then again these people's idea of "soon" is half a year. Now I know what my daughter feel like when I say I will be there "soon".

As already mentioned, BBY will honor the NE2 discount, but it's not really the NE2 they're giving you. They simply have you log into your VZW account and will look at the price of the device, and ultimately whichever price is cheaper (VZW or BBY) is the price you pay at BBY.

aw man you're lucky. i went to best buy today to get a return on my pre order deposit because they would not honor my $100 ne2. the women said they would not spot me for that much and only for $50? i didnt even want to bother explaining it so,
I then went to a Verizon store to ask about the d.i. and the sales guy took my name and number to hold a phone for me on the 29th. He said it was unlikely that the d.i. would be sold out that day.

Maybe they are waiting until the Pre-order is live on the verizon website before they start pumping out commercials. Give 10 solid days of ads and commercials to sell it....they probably know they have enough people who want the phone from sites like this so they don't have to do too much "hardcore" advertising

Dunno - Apple is very aware of this phone. I don't think those iPhone 4G leaks were a coincidence.

They've had "Spring 2010" listed there for a while. So far, no dishonesty on G's part. What's interesting is, Google updates their phone stuff on Tuesdays - they could conceivably release the N1 before the Inc. I'm not holding my breath, though.

this is awesome....2 reviews coming a little past midnight......

and i'll be in bed before then thinking about it....looking at the clock longingly as the minutes crawl until that time.....not being able to sleep while my wife is asleep next to me...I'll be feeling like i'm about to cheat on my wife...
 
I am almost positive they'll run ads for it, it would be crazy not to have them for the follow -up (In name) to the original DROID. I have to admit that the first DROID ads, the ones centered around the "iDon't" theme, are what made me take a look at Android devices in the first place. Hopefully the Incred ads are as well done. Time will tell.
