ICS Update was waiting for me this morning. It also showed up at the same time on the other Razr Maxx in the family this morning also.

Not part of any soak test, never received the notification about update coming in a week.

Update went smoothly on both phones.
 
Update to my prior post. This was an OTA update that delivered ICS to our two Razr Maxx phones this morning.

Thanks to everyone that shared their information on this site regarding the ICS update. I also was looking forward to it and checking often for updates, and checked this site for news and info.

Great Job of sharing everyone.

Great. So probably in december or so. Shouldn't have expected anything from Motorola after the way they treated the "milestone" droid versions.
 
A Coworker of mine has a regualr RAZR and he recieved the update this morning. That makes me more of a believer that it is being pushed. No joy for me though, I'll just have to wait. the UI does look nice though.
 
Still no ICS for me. Wasn't really worried about it too much until I read earlier this week about the Chrome browser coming out of beta. But it's only for ICS or higher. Put it on my Galaxy Tab2 and LOVE it! Now I'm jonesin' for ICS on my Maxx so I can Chrome it! :D
 
Finally rocking with ICS. I love the design and layout. Snapping screenshots is a lot of fun. I dont know that I would use the "folders" option all that much. The widget tab is extremely helpful as well. Connectivity to 4g seems to be more consistent. Today will test the battery life.
 
My wife got ICS this morning on her razr, but I have nothing. Both phones are stock and never been rooted. We're in Louisville, KY.

It's absolutely a serious question. There is so much conflicting information about the supposed ICS rollout that I don't know what to believe anymore:

- It's rolling out to all customers by the 25th.
- It's rolling out to all customers by the 29th.
- It's still in testing.
- It's out of testing.
- It's been delayed.

And that's just this thread. So I will again pose the question: Is ICS being rolled out to Razr owners or not?

There has been ONE date where VZW and Motorola stated it was being rolled out. That was this week. Everything else was "experts" guessing or going on "leaked" information.

The rollout is taking place over the course of a week or so because there is no way the network could handle the large number of Razr owners all downloading at the same time.
 
Upgraded this morning. So far, not very impressed. Multiple broken apps and widgets now. I never had data drops before and I've had several since the update. And since they made switching to CDMA only so difficult it is rather annoying. I also noticed my phone got warmer than I had ever noticed before in the 15 minutes I had to play with it while updating a few things. Like I said, not too impressed.
 
Well be careful what you ask for cuz you just might get it. ICS has removed Adobe Flash from this OS (blah). Although you can manually reinstall Adobe Flash, it won't be fully functional. You can view webcams and chat on some sites, but it doesn't seem to allow viewing of imbedded videos that play directly off of a website page. Whose idea was it to remove flash chat in the first place.
 
any ones home button work? mine wont after update, it also wont lock, screen off then screen on even with a pin set up and the lock on screen off selected
 
Music- I just cleared cache and some other stuff, and restarted, on the albums tab it said:

Media is beeing scanned....

It's off that page with all my albums now, verbiage might have been different but it's definitely a bee, LOL.
