I expect that we'll see an upgrade prior to Lollipop that will include VoLTE.

I will be shocked if Verizon gets the lollipop update out before the end of the year. Hopefully manufacturers start putting more pressure on the US carriers to get updates out to users in a more timely fashion.

Yeah, end of the year for carrier devices isn't happening. But, if Lollipop rolls out on unlocked phones in Q4, that should mean carrier devices get it early 2015.

New software update coming in right now. I assume it's the update that rolled out nationwide recently. It's 201.6MB.

EDIT: Software version is 11C. Not sure what's different yet.

That's what they always say. Usually the result is quite the opposite, and some of us were sorta hoping it was adding features or might be Android 5.0.

I am not sure how much faster this phone could be, it already remains the zippiest Android phone I've ever owned. As for network connectivity unlike my Samsung which required weekly reboots because of a loss of service bug, this phone has never had any issues with connectivity and has never needed a restart.

I doubt anyone thought for a second that this could be lollipop. We are probably at least 3 months away from that.

I definitely notice it snappier. Apps seem to open & close instantly.....noticeable difference.....for the good....for sure.

I agree. The UI is definitely smoother. Running through the app tray no longer stutters. The one (albeit minor) issue it didn't resolve was the constant reloading of widgets. It seems to only happen with the stock LG widgets.

I should have noted that my Feb statement was for US Carriers. You guys will probably get it way before we do.

For unlocked phones, maybe. No chance US carrier devices see Lollipop until at least early 2015.

Downloaded last night. Yippee. Half my downloaded apps disappeared, had to be re-downloaded.
Hopefully the "changing time zone" issue will be fixed.
