Official Release Date Rumor Thread

I was hoping by this weekend we would have good info besides att sales rep bs, oh well.
 
...and look at that...the date on the sprint phone is 9/9 just as I said in a post way back lol. Could be pure coincidence, but its still fun.

Too bad neither images of the AT&T phone or T-Mob phone have dates on them.
 
I talked to my cousin today. He has worked at att forever. He said he will only know for sure about a week before they come out. And they take delivery just a few days before. He will hold one for me. Everyone see that the iPhone5 is coming out first week of oct? To bad apple sux. But at least they let their customers know...

Please provide link to where Apple announced the iPhone 5 for the "first week of October." There is a lot of speculation which may be right but Apple has announced nothing.

The closest thing I have seen is that the SPRINT IPHONE will be available in "mid-October" and that isn't even official. Apple lets their customers know nothing until the official presentation.

But at least they tell us everything at their presentations. The thing that I like about Apple presentations is that the product is usually available within a week or two and sometimes immediately.

I've used these pages before, but I don't think I've ever gotten a "timely" announcement from AT&T in response. Kinda like the way AT&T does everything :mad: Of course, that didn't stop me from signing up (hope springs eternal).

Had a rough week and slept hard last night with lots of weird dreams. One of the most vivid was my father handing me a Best Buy ad and saying they were saying they'd have the SGSII for AT&T tomorrow. The announcement was supposed to be on the front cover. But even though I flipped through the whole thing, I couldn't find the front cover forever. When I finally did, there was an ambiguous, fuzzy picture that may or may not have indicated it was being released the next day. At which point I woke up :eek:

Yeah..I signed up for news on the Thrill, I got the email the morning it released lol
 
juts talked to my buddy at best buy, he's a manager and just recently moved over to phone sales which i was unaware of till today. he told me that they(and he thinks everyone) is getting it on the 16th. im pretty sure he ment released but it might be received. he said he isnt even allowed to tell his employees till a few days before.
 
I just talked to my Aunt's boyfriend. He's a floor sweeper at Radio Shack. He heard 2 of the managers talking about what they did the evening before on their double date and during that conversation this lady friend of theirs walked in with a deck of tarot cards. After a few hands of tarot card poker (25c/50c) she pulled out her magic 8 ball and asked it the question: "When is the Galaxy S2 going to be released to the public." After shaking the 8-Ball 7 times in a counter-clockwise direction then 4 times clockwise while singing Ave Maria (while facing north) it came up with an answer. You can ask it yourself right here: Ask the Magic 8-Ball and see for yourself. I can only say that whatever the answer it is must be right.

Yeah and guess what, you were never promised one!

And it hasn't been out since May, or at all, in the USA.

This thread mostly now seems to be people complaining about yes, a week or two since nobody knows exactly the date on ATT but we know Sep 16 on the other carrier...people getting mad it may be Oct 2 for example...

I feel ya though, if this was the phone I was set on buying (its not) I'd be interested too...still dont think a couple weeks is a big deal.

I think most of the reason why the hostility is growing in here is because we were all set on finding out the release date on August 30th(and very very hopefull it would be released that day)

Might I remind you that I started this thread way back in g-d June??? We'd been hearing about it coming to the US long before that. That fateful day in June just happened to be after a name was given to the device, a forum started for it, and my impatience setting in. BACK IN JUNE!! We were told July. Then Late July. Then August. Then late August. You get the idea.
