It would've shown up here today eventually. I can't tell you how often I Google "Samsung Fascinate 2.2 Froyo" in the News section.

Verizon Wireless has been sending Android 2.2 update to the customers over the air. Customers will be notified of the Froyo update through text messages. Customers can simply install the new update navigating over to Settings > About Phone > System Update on their devices.

It would certainly be a nice surprise, though.

Yeah, this is bogus. I find that you can usually tell that a news site is illegitimate based on poor grammar and erratic spacing (lol). Let's stay away from Khabrein when it comes to news of FroYo; I'm sure Android Central will have news of the update the moment it hits. Judging from how they jumped on the news of the DL09 update, they must anticipating FroYo as well. :)

When the 1st semi-official Froyo rumor for Fascinate hits the Net all the sites will spread it. AC while noted for their rumor spreading just does what all the sites including this one does

The good news is Kaos now has the .32kernel so yes the official version is still a month away but his version [and Im sure jt will kang the kernel for aosp as well] should have the .32 kernel next revision which should give us jit which is kinda meh but they say bt, camera and even mms and all codec for you tube, pandora et al should be dialed in.

ok so i have a question? i went to office max the other day and played with the galaxy tab. it has android 2.2 right? so if it does is it that different than our phones that both samsung and verizon wouldnt be able to put out a working os quicker than this? im not very knowledgeable when it come to that stuff i was just wondering?

samsung seems to treat each variant of the galaxy series as its own island....sometimes updates correspond and things are similar...but a lot of the time theres no rhyme or reason to it

I spoke with someone yesterday pretty high up the VZW food chain. I don't want to say how high, because I don't know how many people work at that particular location. Anyway, according to him/her, Verizon has not even gotten a final 2.2 build from Samsung yet. They are expecting it within the next week, but according to this person "that's what they've been telling us for months"

Help me punk.kaos and jt... you're my only hope:D
