Help ***Official*** Status of your Droid X order thread

Is it SOP for Verizon to ship replacement phones with 2 Day Shipping? When I spoke with the telesales gal I explicitly told her I wanted my phone "tomorrow". Of course that was on the 7/16/2010 when my DX died right after activation, and I had no clue they wouldn't have a replacement I could get the next day.

Yesterday my phone shipped, but my tracking has 2 Day Shipping. My phone is still sitting in Memphis. I was so wanting to get my phone today and let it be my birthday present to myself, which is today!

But the wait goes on. Still no phone until tomorrow. One week lost with all this mess with Verizon.
 
Finally got a tracking number from Verizon. Yet when i go to the FedEx page, i get a "Not Found" result. Whatever. At least there's movement.

btw i ordered online around 6pm on the 15th. I'm in VA if that helps.
 
I ordered mine around 7:00am on the 15th, adding a line to a corporate account. I did have to call back twice once to confirm the address with credit @ 8:00am and later in the after around 3:00pm to switch to next day shipping. The online order page had a status of "wait", but after the upgrade over the weekend I see what everyone else has report, your order is being processed please check back tomorrow. I was assure by a CSR that it would be shipped by the 23rd this was before it was official on the website. the order is being shipped to Phila, PA. I sold all of my good phones and have a POS Sony Ericson until this arrives!:mad:
 
Now they are back to saying it will ship on the 23rd. I cannot get a straight answer out of these people to save my life. I am beginning to wonder if there is even an order in the system. i thought Sprint was a horror story, these people seem to be the most incompetent buffoons I have ever had the displeasure to talk to.

Have you asked to speak to the supervisor over CSR? I did yesterday and what do you know....my phone shipped yesterday. And she actually called me back to keep me updated.
 
So I called and they said it hasnt shipped out yet so they cant give me a tracking number... they made no indication that it would take until the 27th though? I mentioned that other people who ordered online on the same day I did have received their tracking information already and that didn't seem to matter to this verizon rep.
 
Just complained on the website... It will probably fall on deaf ears, but below is a copy/paste of my complaint (cause it makes me feel better to vent).

I ordered a new Droid X on 7/16 at 7:13AM EDT through the Verizon website (ORDER#: XXXXXXXX). The Website indicated "WILL SHIP BY 7/23". I received my Sales Confirmation, but nothing else. After following several forums on the internet it was recommended that I contact customer support as people that ordered AFTER me were already receiving their Droid X phones (people in the same geographic region). This morning I contacted customer service and they had no record of my purchase. The customer service rep then contacted the internet sales department and was told that my order would not be shipping until 7/27. With this purchase I added a new line on my account specifically for this phone (I already have 3 lines).

I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the way you (Verizon) is handling the demand for the Droid X, and I believe that my order should be expedited based on the fact that the website indicated a ship date of on or before 7/23.

This comment will probably fall on deaf ears, but maybe you will surprise me and renew my faith in Verizon the company. Rest assured that my disappointment is being shared with many on a multitude of forums and blogs.

Mine is currently out for delivery. Can't wait to get home from work and play with it.

Looking on the bright side (since VZW is taking so long to ship)... If I don't fall in love with the Droid X, it will be easy to change it out for the Droid 2 since it will probably be available within my 30 day window. :)
 
I don't get it :confused: how are folks getting their phones who ordered after the 15th, but me who ordered the morning of the 15th (and I live outside of Memphis) still not have my phone :mad:

So I check my order number this morning and it shows shipped :) only to find no tracking number :mad: so I can't track it - I call CS and they say, I'm sorry that shouldn't be there as your phone hasn't shipped yet and wont until on or before 7/27 :eek:

I give up

Am on the phone now. But, they are running block as far as letting me talk to a supervisor. I guess I will have to force the issue.:mad:

Okay, the first order is totally screwed up. They even charged full retail for the phone.:confused: And I am a new customer. The CSR I talked to said they are going to cancel that order, and overnight a phone on a new order.:D Hope I don't get into trouble for this with corp..:rolleyes:
 
Just called and it says mine has shipped to be here tomorrow. Tracking number isn't updated though. Maybe I'll get lucky and have it show up today since I live close to the processing center.

Ordered on the 15th at 11am
Processed at 10pm
Shipped on the 21st to arrive on the 22nd
 
My phone is leaving out of PA instead of Memphis like the vast majority of the orders. Memphis must be getting hammered.
 
I just received shipping notification 2 minutes ago. Mine is UPS tracking number, I ordered mine on 7/15 at around 11:30AM and am in NY. No big deal, I work at UPS so I can just pick it off the truck, is anyone else having theres sent UPS??
