OK, so it's been 6 months...

I love the layout and snappy operation but I have to admit that with the short battery life, do in part(the most part) with the radio(signal) issues that I was looking to trade it in for the X but I just might hold out love the phone other wise. sure with the update that HTC is working on will come out soon.

It's a very solid phone. Got mine on day 2 and will probably stick with it until early upgrade. Will only change when I think a rockstar phone is released that will be centerstage for the devs for a long time to come...much the way I felt, and still feel, about this one.

I've had it since 1 day after launch. This is the first smartphone I've ever had and I could not be happier by being patient and getting this one. I passed on the Eris, Moto DROID, even the Blackberry Storm. I may be missing out on other things but I'm not sure what they would be.
Gmail-Google integration is awesome.
The browser is snappy and Sense makes Android so smooth to operate.
7 home screens.
Useful widgets.
Multitasking
Notifications (although the notification light could be better).

The more and more attention Android is receiving from developers can only make this phone better and better too. It's been a great experience so far.

I love the incredible, haven't had any problems with it, and would definitely buy it again.
That said, it is still the snappiest phone out for verizon, using the motorola droid phones in store they just seem slow and laggy when switching homescreens or adding widgets. Things i do constantly on my incredible since i switch my scenes up almost daily. Typing can sometimes lag on the incredible but overall i think it is the best touch screen keyboard out there.
I ran a benchmark today and was surprised that there were still 3 phones above the incredible on the list but when i use those phones i notice a big difference in the way they perform.
Sense is great, i thought about buying the r2d2 droid 2 yesterday at the verizon store, but i love my sense widgets and overall it is a great UI when compared to blur i like it a lot better. Only thing it doesn't have is landscape mode and i am sure that will be included in the new sense. I think if i switch phones i would just end up missing the incredible, it really is one of a kind, and is sometimes overlooked because it is not advertised as much as the motorola products but it does everything they can do and sometimes more.

I was in Verizon yesterday playing around with the Droid 2, didnt like it. My sister has the X, its pretty good but too big in my opinion. The LG Ally is just ok, and the Samsung Fascinate I dont really like the UI.

Incredible beats them all! I love my phone :D

The fact that I don't have to check into this website frequently for solutions to problems is a sign of how pleased I am with this phone. Much happier with this than my old Eris.

Well, I am due for a phone upgrade (I purchased my Incredible on the roll-out day by using another number and activated it on my primary phone number). If I were to buy one today, it'd STILL be the Incredible. I do want to check out the Incredible HD though. It will be out in about 3 weeks as rumor has it. I might just get it and try it for a few weeks and decide if I want to keep it or keep my DInc and wait for a LTE phone to come out (assuming that it doesn't require me to move to tiered pricing on data.) If so, I'll probably stick with my DInc and "unlimited" data at 3G and wait for something even better down the road...

I come from the tp2. And still play with this phone like day one. I could see keeping it for 2 years. It just does the job. :)

i'm sick of the narowness of the keyboard and just touchscreen in general but I cant wait to get the HD when/if it's announced so i'll have a bigger keyboard to work with. Might make things easier.

I love this phone except the fact that for the past few weeks it feels the need to reset itself about 15-20 times a day and multiple times in a row. The only way to stop it sometimes is to do a battery pull. I got rid of my BB because I hated doing battery pulls.

I just got my Inc last week and I'm still sitting on a NE2 upgrade and there's nothing out there that tops the Inc, IMHO! I love sense UI with android and will probably never purchase a phone other than HTC in the future. The battery was an issue so I purchased a bigger battery, problem resolved (getting 48 hours on 1 charge btw :D). The slow charging with the phone on is my only beef with this phone. When I purchased my new battery it came with a wall charger so It's not even that big of an issue for me anymore as I always have a full battery on hand. This phone is everything I want and more, couldn't be happier with it

Really?! 15-20 times a day? Are you rooted? If not, sounds like you have some bad apps or something.

Back on topic. . . have had my inc since day 1 and wouldn't trade for anything else that's out right now. Nothing has the same form-factor in combination with specs. Has been perfect so far.

I love this phone. I have played with a lot of the other android phones(Droid, DX, Aria, Captivate, Fascinate), and I am very happy with my purchase. I would not have any other phone.

Played with a Facinate today while waiting for my daughter's phone to get "fixed". The Incredible beats it hands down! I did ask one of the salesmen in the store about the Incredible HD rumor and he said he's heard nothing about it. He said that there is gonna be a Droid Pro and another Samsung about to come out, but he's heard nothing about another Incredible. Bummer....

asking a verizon employee about a new/rumored anything is like asking someone who lives in cuba if they've seen the new mustang. Neither have the slightest clue WTF is going on outside their bubble LOL

I almost spit coffee on my screen! LOL!

Had the phone the first day it came out. I was in love with it, being that it was my first real smartphone. Before, I had older smartphones without a data plan. This past weekend, I went and installed LauncherPro Plus and have since fallen in love with it again! I love finding new ways to make this phone my own.

About those rumored phones, a Droid Pro is gonna come out. It's a candybar style phone with Android. The Samsung phone is the Continuum, which is a dual display Android phone.

Best.phone.ever.

Well, at least until the Incredible HD comes out.

only thing that worries me about the DInc HD is what will the battery life be like? I can get through a full day and be around 15-20% at the end, and I have the extended slim battery from Seidio. I have a few friends with Evo's and the battery life on those things is CRAP, they are ALWAYS plugging in to my outlets when they come over.

My first smart phone was a Droid Eris, and it made me fall in love with Android. After playing with a DInc though, it smashes many other phones to pieces. With all the custom ROMs, kernels, and raw SPEED this thing has it just can't be beat. Except maybe by the DInc HD. :)

i am soon to be on my third dinc (overheating issues and random restarts), but i still LOVE this phone. even though i have had to replace it, the basic functionality and experience of the phone is the absolute best i've seen/had. i sort of wish i hadn't had my first one replaced, since it was overheating, but it never randomly restarted like this one. oh, well, gonna give it one more try (since verizon seems to send out replacements like matchbooks), then i'll just make do. this time they're sending me a new battery, too. again, i LOVE the dinc, i just really wish i didn't have the random restart thing. but verizon has been super easy to deal with, and i've become a pro at backing up and reinstalling my phone. so i guess, new life skill? anyhow, enough of that.

i LOVE sense. i don't think i will ever have a non HTC phone again. in fact, i tried widget locker for a while and really liked it, but i missed sense so much that i ditched wl and went back. it's both fun and USEFUL, everything works so smoothly. and i love the sense widgets. i have never been so happy with a phone, even with the replacements.

i'm also looking forward to seeing what the dinc HD ends up looking/feeling like. i'm early upgrade in spring, so we'll see. but i am really happy with my regular dinc. i'm not in any hurry to ditch it.
