Root OLD EVO What to do?

Let us know how it is. I have a deactivated EVO with Savoca Strike! on it but may switch to the Ubersonic ROM
 
I have an Evo that is my hotspot. That's the only thing it does. Doesn't need to make calls or send/receive texts. Everything 3g. Wondering if I can use Ubersonic on it... I'm going to take a gander at it. Sounds promising.

Looks like someone will have to add it. I don't see it in here.

It's a decent rom for a media player I like it and as of now plan on keeping it. I don't need or use hotspot so not a big deal for me. it will be a fine media player.
 
Negative. All phone features have been removed. The only data connectivity left on the phone is through wifi. 3g data has been removed. I wonder how hard it would be to add it back or should we just start with the base he started with and take everything out like he did but leave 3g data intact.

I'm putting cm7 on my evo, delete unneeded apps with TB, load it up with a mason kernel, and it will have great battery life and plenty of space with a2sd
 
well ran ubersonic for a few days and really i'm getting rid of it. I first lost google play store did a reset (dirty flash) got it working now google play music wont work but it works on the eltevo. Going to give MIUI a shot on it and see how that works out if not then CM7 will be the ticket for me as well.

Try Dark Light v4.0 from Mazda
Awesome theme and should work fine. It would be my daily if only...:(

Or Paranoid Android - hybrid tablet/phone features PAD!!

i just got my og evo back and was about to try ubersonic, until i saw argedion's post, thanx for that by the way.

i might have to try paranoid. i have seen it before. gonna give it a look see

Paranoid Android is one of my favorite roms. Per app density meaning no more build.prop tweaks ;) just back up your pad.prop via the built in settings.
 
love some paranoid android had it on the ELTEVO for a bit. how bout put up the links so fat lazy people like me don't have to search :D
