I cut mine in 1/4's, put some putter on each piece. Holding it by the top (because it's crispier!) I eat from the bottom an then finish with the yummy top!
Has anyone seen the show "Cupcake Wars"? I am pretty sure on one episode they made a maple cupcake with bacon pieces on top! Mmmmm

Blame it on me
I tear the top apart, eat it, and then I make a fool of myself trying to eat the bottom which is much more moist. Then I get another muffin and repeat the process.

I was the person that does not like muffins.. I am not to fond of pastries in general for some reason..
But ya, I am pretty surprised at how much muffin bread is being wasted too... Think of the kids in 3rd world countries people. Don't take the muffins for granted!
And that bacon sub thing looks pretty damn good.. even tho you would certainly die after consuming 1/4 of it, it would be a good death.

I may just be weird (I dun like bacon either ._.) but I honestly don't get why people love the top of a muffin so much more. The ones with the crumbly stuff on top I can almost understand, but the kind that are just smooth/practically shiny on top, I have no idea - especially when the stuff inside (blueberries, apples, ect) drift to the bottom.
Sooo yeah, I break the muffin in half (along the Z plane) and just..eat..it? Blueberry ones are my favorite - nothing like when they're hot and it pops in your mouth and you get a mouthfull of hot blueberry goo - mmmm..

haha...well it's only 2 people that answered they only eat the muffin top ...so I don't consider that as 'many'.

To defend what I said though... I have a male workout partner who is exactly like that... EXACTLY like that... and he is nicknamed "Chuck Norris". As straight as they can be, very macho, and intimidating.

Yes I know. And I know you purposely said that, but if people didn't know you better, they'd be reconfirmed that you are a female. Maybe that was your intention in the first place. Well as I am completely OT, who is the girl in your avi? I have. Been wondering about that for awhile now.

Yes, think about it... (I have been cooking since I was 12, and its pretty much my job around here, lol) Well... lets say you have this huge piping hot bowl of chili, and its wonderful, you get to the bottom of the bowl, and theres a bit of liquid there... what do you use to sop it up? Well you look over and see a muffin. It is full of crumbled bits of crunchy bacon, and melted cheese shreds.. it also has a few bits of corn, and oh look small bits of Jalapeno. The muffin was baked lovingly, and with just a hint of sweetness (thats how we Yanks like em)... next to the hot muffin is a pat or two of real whipped butter. You slice that muffin open, and smear butter on both halves. You grab one half, and use it to slide over your bit of chili left in the bowl, the muffin now has been soaked with butter and chili, oops you better hurry and pop some in your mouth before it falls apart! You feel the butter and chili and cheese, bacon, and Jalapeno explode in your mouth, and you close your eyes, because its an amazing taste sensation, and you want to enjoy every bit of it, its almost as if you were licking heaven! You reach for another bite, and realize that the sam adams you had with your chili has just hit you, and you need to pee.... do you stop and eat the muffin and risk peeing your pants? Do you grab the potato chip clamp and clamp your wee wee so you dont pee your pants, or do you leave that hot sexy muffin there, and run to the bathroom? Well?? what do you do!!!?????Catches your muffin, then proceeds to eat your muffin
