Osama Bin Laden is DEAD!!!

I am so sick of people trumping that "First Amendment Right"....well guess what bucko, the company itself has a right to not keep the player for endorsements either, when he makes asinine comments as well.

Sure any dumbass has a right to say what he wants, but a company has a right to endorse whoever the hell they want too.

Agreed. And that's basically what Champion said in their official statement.

"While we respect Mr. Mendenhall

One week anniversary of the death of Osama Bin Laden!

How bout some good ole bin laden humor!

America FTW! Lol

It also leads in the direction of having a country full of people who are not only not capable of critical thinking, but who will flat out deny solid empirical facts in order to cling to wacky theories that have no evidence behind them. It's one thing to believe something where there is no evidence to support it. It's another thing to believe something when there is a mountain of solid evidence proving you are wrong.

so true...

I personally agree with the governments action in NOT releasing the photos. Do you guys have any idea how gruesome a shot the head with a high powered rifle is? GROSS, I do NOT want to see that spreading around the internet like wildfire. And like others have said, imagine if that was our president's photo of his head in a million pieces going viral around the internet. No thanks...

The CIA is going to offer certain members of congress the opportunity to view said pix.

Forget what Obama says, we all know the images will surface on the web. That is simply a given.

Yes, I have seen gruesome images before. Like when someone drops a ladder across a high tension line or a man that fell off a ladder and a spike pierced his head.

Perhaps the images will further illustrate that if you attack America, you will die and here is what you will look like.

Or . . .

We are so use to seeing gruesome images, those of Bin Laden won't really affect us.

I guess people forgot the films Faces of Death. Monkey brains anyone? lol

I think americans can handle the pictures. After all back in the wild west it was common to display the outlaws that was killed to show the people that the person was dead. Also to show other outlaws scum isnt tolerated .

Obama is also right though that the pictures will not convince a single conspiracy theorist. They may promote more violence against us. I don't have any issues with them showing them to members of Congress and I think they should show them to the family as well if the family wants to come over here and see them.

If they were released you wouldn't have to see them, that would be your choice.

And... I personally would LOVE to see that happen to Obama! He is such a POS president doing everything in his power to ruin this country.

Now that the "new car smell" has wore off, the celebratory direction of this thread seems to have died off and looks to be heading towards that political direction. With that said, I'm going to merge this with the thread in the Politics forum so that I can let you guys continue the discussion and not delete any posts.

And you are a POS citizen for wishing to see that happen to the POTUS, whether you agree with his policies or not.

Pretty gruesome OK, as can be seen from these JFK autopsy photos:

JFK Lancer

Any kind of Murder is gruesome, whether it is perpetrated by Terrorist, Covert Ops, IRA, CIA, Navy SEALS, or whoever.

The really difficult thing to understand is how any Democratic State, which "believes" in the Rule of Law, and which has a Constitution which guarantees certain Fundamental Rights, including Due Process, can resort to the tactics used by the enemies of Freedom, Democracy and Rule of Law.

This for me is the real question....and a puzzling one at that.

The USA was to the fore in ensuring the Nuremberg Trials for the NAZI Barbarians after the victory in 1945.

This was exemplary and a credit to that Great Nation.

I would like to see a return to Constitutional Values and Due Process in US Foreign Policy and Domestically.

Hopefully the Bush legacy can be expunged from the US body politic, the sooner the better.

Interesting thing about those that want to rid our country of everything Bush. Perhaps it is time people understand that Bush is gone and Obama is here and if he wanted to eliminate all traces of Bush, he likely could, along with help from congress.

If you have the power to do something, you just do it; you do not complain about how the last guy did this or that.

Bob

Thanks for that Bob...

Any thoughts on my other comments?

The ones not about Bush!!

Of course it is also difficult to ignore the Bush legacy....

Or indeed the Al Queda legacy...and knowledge of it's provenance in Afghanistan.

Nothing to do with US.....Mujihadeen..etc

Simple Osama was not a US citizen so the Constitution doesnt pertain to him. SO he doent have the right to due process and a trial of his peers
