OTA ICS Issues on Bionic

Doing an FDR will solve most of if not all of the problems associated with getting the OTA. Listen to Thom about this, he is right as I am proof of that as well as some other people....It is a wise choice.

Not that it's a big deal to me. I have found one issue. I was watching a Netflix movie last night with the phone docked to my HD docking station. On the remote, the volume is useless. It moves but has no effect on the volume. Not a big deal though.

So I updated to ICS with the OTA update...now my Bionic won't do a thing! I don't have service, every time I open anything whether it's an app, a menu or whatever I get a not responding error. My phone is essentially a brick. Factory reset? How would I go about doing that?

Still waiting for my OTA update, but will this change my Bionic to look and act like my Nexus 7? I've been very happy with the tablet and its widgets - hoping to see similar on the Bionic.

Well, did a Factory Data Reset. Got my service back and No SIM Card went away. Now it's a matter of updating everything and trying to get my phone back to normal. Kind of a hassle but it was an excuse to clean house on my phone so to speak. Will report if I continue to have further problems.

Ive done about 4 FDRs, downloaded the OTA numerous times, with and without the sdcard-ext which has all my recoveries, ROMS, etc - renamed then deleted the system files for the Superuser.apk .... and STILL once the .246 download completes, and the install starts, it fails each time. :banghead:

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have any apps froze or have you deleted any? If so unfreeze them, if deleted are you on .905 or a leak?

Maybe the key here is to FXZ back to GB (.905) using RSD and then allow the OTA up to ICS ... M-O-U-S-E

New here... and not an expert. So please forgive my inexperience and would greatly appreciate redirection if this is not the correct forum.

So yesterday I received from Verizon the new Android v4.0.4 update for my Bioinc. I dutifully performed the update and oh boy was I surprised! Thus far not impressed and am having terrible problems with the "speaker" automatically being turned on and not being able to hear my phone calls unless in speaker mode. Very frustrating. And now getting "No Speech Heard" while trying to use voice to txt feature. I am sure I will find more bugs that I am not happy with.
Any thoughts and direction on where/how I can get this stuff fixed?

Many thanks in advance... and again appreciate your patience.

I was able to download the update about two hours ago. However, now I can't access my text messages at all without it just having the spinning circle in the top area and will eventually freeze if I mess with it too much. This happens as well as I click on any contacts. I decided I was going to do a factory reset, but wanted to back up at least my text messages at first. However, anytime I try to back them up in multiple different programs, the programs just seem to sit there and eventually freeze. I really don't understand why. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really would prefer not to lose all of my text messages.

Since you mention superuser, you were obviously rooted. Did you ever install bootstrap, safestrap, or a custom recovery? I believe that I read that having bootstrap on the phone will interrupt the install.
