OTA Reported Being pushed out now

The v6 method works. I did it 5 or 6 times last night helping drellisdee.

But seriously though. WHOEVER GETS THIS OTA DO NOT INSTALL YET. WE NEED YOU.

Thanks for the info Brother.

Just curious though. How is it and what capacity do you need us in?
Of course I am at your service.

I am willing to flash backwards if it will help, but the only version I can go back to is V8 and the update notification will probably be for the vzc update. Unless I do the steps to go all the way back to V6 and go through all of the updates until I reach the last one. I could try that as well I guess.

EDIT: I see I would need root explorer and it's not free. Is there another program I could use besides that one. Don't mind paying a little to help, but if I can use something free, i'd prefer that option.

There is super manager. Works for me.

I just tried super manager, but I couldn't find the /cache folder. Is it a sub folder of some other folder?

Nevermind, forgot to enable Root function in super manager.

I restored everything for the OTA update before realizing it would be easier with the updater tool. No big deal though, the update hasn't pushed on my phone yet but when it does, if no one else has already, will gladly upload what you need.

We need the ota. With a rooted 2.1 phone update will download to /cache. Please copy (root explorer) it and upload it. Also do a md5sum as it has radio in it so we can check before flashing it.

This is a free md5sum tool for windows Download winMd5Sum 1.0 Free - Use the program to get the MD5 checksum of a downloaded file on your computer. - Softpedia

unix users can just do md5sum (filename) in terminal.

Dont forget the md5sum its critical.

Drell,
My wife's phone should be getting the update I suppose...I'll tell her not to install it till I get what you need....what is the md5sum thing? what info will you be needing from it? I never used it, so I want to make sure I'm prepared, and help the best I can.

the md5 is a checksum of the file. Thats to make sure after its uploaded and downloaded it matches as flashing a corrupt radio will likely brick a phone.

I'm working on getting the OTA into my /cache as soon as I flash back to my rooted stock, and install root explorer
