OTA update 4.1.2 pushed 11/25/13

Strange but true...

Clicking "UnRoot" finished and said "OK". Typing "SU" in terminal gave me the hashtag prompt. Yippee! Rooted!

I followed the instructions posted by Doctoror, transferred the .img files to a PC, seven zipped them. Uploading now and will post a link here when done.

Hopefully we will all have a working 4.1.2 soon.

Hi. The update came as diff patches so I doubt you can modify it.
I will post updated already-patched ROM.zip as soon as I get the files from fellow members. Then you can try whether it works on CA-201L.

i updated lost root also lost access to some apps had to clear cache for googlr play store and had a few apps deleted with update not sure why and neither does verizon

Download SuperSu from the market and install it as you would any apk and see what it does.

SuperSu acts as expected. Prompts for permission every time that root rights are requested.

I am sending a PM to Doctoror with the link to the "C811M040.7z" file so he can check it out before making it public.

I too got my update OTA this morning and I hit ok to install. It took about 10 minutes then rebooted to android screen installing update. After another reboot, I got this screen saying update failed reason code 410. But I see all the new graphical updates and the phone seems more responsive.

My question is what is reason code 410? Do I need to worry about it? I can't seem to find anything on the web about reason code 410.

From the home sceen press the menu button>settings>about phone. Tell us your Android version, baseband version, and build number. I have no idea what reson code 410 is.

That's it. I don't know why you have an error. Enjoy Jellybean. You can tap rapidly on 4.1.2 4 or 5 times and you will get a little suprise...

I am new here and have a major battery issue since the update and I was wondering if anyone else has had the problem ? Or knows what I can look at. I am also new to Android OS

Mine updated just fine yesterday with no errors and everything works perfectly.

Before yesterday normal use would get me 12-15 hours of battery life. Which that alone was 1/2 what my previous BlackBerry's had been. But I could deal with it.

After my update yesterday, I know get 5-6 hours out of my battery, that is from a full charge to it powering itself off because the battery is completely dead.

Sadly often after an update you have to perform a factory data reset. I know it's a pain but that's how it goes.

Yeah I just updated today and also noticed the battery drain...I'm gonna do a factory reset tonight and hope that resolves it. I'll post here on my findings.

Hello all -

Sorry to be slow in getting all of the files to Doctoror. I am a noob at this and did not get the complete list and the correct file names in my archive.

I think we have it straight now and he can make a flashable ROM for all to use.

After the update I could not get the phone to ring until I pulled it SMS card. Silent mode was not on but I could not get a ring.

Same here, I didn't pull the card, but I did have to reselect ringtones, notification sounds, alarms sounds, and message sounds, on "factory" apps as well as third party apps.

Hey so I tried to read up on this as much as I can but kinda got mixed answers. So I am rooted with multiple programs frozen (I think), I don't think I deleted them (it is all backed up any ways). So can you update with root? Do I have to restore all files to factory then un-root then update? Can the update be rooted just as easily as it was at first using the super simple program that you click to root?

Where exactly do you tap to get such a surprise? I've tapped a few different places, and the only thing I accomplished was looking like a goofball.

Something else I've noticed in the past few days: Bluetooth has started to get REALLY flaky. There is a service called BluetoothLE that crashes a few times a day; when that happens, you don't get any notifications sent to your watch, even if it's paired with the phone. The only way I've found to get it going again is to reboot the phone.

wow, thought I was going nuts.....my battery (I have the extended one) wouldn't even last a day....glad I read this.....I'm gonna try to pull the battery first, don't want to do a factory reset unless I must!
