Lol he's trying to get back to full stock but when he wiped everything he lost download mode so basically he's stuck unless he can get into fastboot and get the laf.img to flash

Too bad I can't get my phone in download mode. So there's that idea.Or you can try this to get on stock: http://androidforums.com/optimus-l9-all-things-root/804429-need-serious-help-2.html#post6399062
@Swainsmith82 look at it and tell me it's not easier than any other unbrick method for this phone.
Edit: I can get a single BIN file uploaded right now too.
I use this method (no one else tried to use LGFLashTool before me) all the time to change firmware. Works flawlessly. Only difference is that it forces a factory reset at the end.

I downloaded a custom one from bobZhome, but some things don't work correctly according to the release notes. I downloaded it in case I decided to flash it since I have cwm installed. This is it: cm-11-02012014-BobZhome-p769
I know how to get into the mode, I did it many times, I even reinserted the battery or swapped batteries. The cwm screwed it up. There's no other ways instead of using download mode?Must have an unlocked boot loader to flash that, or you'll brick for sure. @swainsmith, I don't think he lost download mode, I think he just doesn't know how to get into it. On some phones it's not as easy as volume up and down and power, sometimes u have to insert battery at a special time. It's sometimes complicated if you're on jellybean firmware, I don't know why. It either wants to be complicated, or it will work easy. I've seen both instances with my phone.
Edit: but if he really did lose download mode, I'll be glad to write a double click script, Windows only.

no, i installed cwm with the l9 recovery installer. To flash official stock? Nope. Anyone know which partition is download mode? Still not sure how CWM screwed up download mode, unless you installed the wrong CWM with like ROM Manager...
no, i installed cwm with the l9 recovery installer.
no idea, lolAs in the app?
Is your bootloader unlocked? If you don't know the answer to that question then it's probably no.
no idea, lol

You used the L9 recovery installer to flash cwm.. . so I don't see how that would of messed up your download mode at all. In fact more people are on that recovery than any other. Your currently on the Kuma82 v10E, themed, stock and rooted ROM right?
I've been running that ROM for a couple months now and its by far the best stock ROM for a locked bootloader and it has has the most features. Kuma82 is currently in the process of building a stock, themed and rooted V10F ROM that can be flashed through recovery and should be ready very shortly. If that's something that your interested in.
A while back on my g2 I got stuck in fastboot with no recovery or download mode. The way I fixed was I found the laf.img which is the download mode partition, flashed it and the boot.img for good measure. I then was able to flash the kdz to put me back in business.
The OTA will not work with this ROM not because of the recovery, but because of the ROM. The fix for the OTA pop up is this (flash with recovery): http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2689834&stc=1&d=1397661493
Flashing back to stock should work fine unless your USB cable is bad.
Edit: turn your phone off, hold volume up and down, plug in USB to computer and phone, after 5 seconds let go of volume down only. Let me know if that gives you download mode.
Well it might be different with the l9 but if you could extract the kdz to see what the download partition is...
I have a full v10d kdz extracted into images. Any idea where it would be? Or would the persist.img work?
It could be u-boot or xloader. It's probably within one of those. But If the phone boots, then u-boot and xloader are fine.
Edit: I still have the flipped inverted LG boot screen because of trying to unlock again. I will flash each partition until I find the one that fixes the download mode screen to the correct orientation/color
No need sammmyz... I have the CWM touch screen fix -P769 for the MS769 - Dev-Host - cwm_ts_fix_p769.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service
Just flash through recovery. After first boot the screen may still be inverted. Just lock the screen and then unlock and it will be back to normal.
No, my touchscreen is fine man. I mean when the phone first turns on the LG logo is flipped and inverted colors I have that file hahhaaha
What I am saying is that when flashing back to regular MS/P769 firmware from the Europe open firmware, there are partitions that DON'T get overwritten. Download mode is one of them. When I flash the partition that fixes it, I will know which partition has download mode. Understand?
Edit: also I am the one that got kuma the MS769 firmware in the first place
I got ya... Totally miss read what you were saying!
Have you tried flashing the ics uboot and xloader via fastboot yet?
Also this guy changed the process slightly when the partirion wasnt being written too and was able to finally get into S/W mode, I giess it's worth a shot - How to fix partion problem ! - xda-developers
I have a full v10d kdz extracted into images. Any idea where it would be? Or would the persist.img work?
In the extracted kdz. Image I have -
gtp1.img
u-boot.img
boot.img
recovery.img
divxkey.img
misc.img
nv.img
fota.img
reserved.img
system. img
userdata.img
cache.img
persist.img
mlt.img
gpt2.img
fastboot? Why use fastboot when dd is so much easier? I hate getting into fastboot with this phone, I only had to do it once because of a bad firmware flash one time and download mode wasn't working for some reason.
adb shell
su
dd if=source(somewhere on sdcard) of=destination(mmcblk##)
Edit:
Oh....u were talking to him, not me....lol.
Yeah these L9's are nothing but a huge pain in the arse!
I had my less that a month and to tell you the truth, I wanted to like it... But there were to many limitations and drawbacks with it. I then completely pawned it off to my wife...Lol, it that teribble? Especially when she bought it for me as a gift! I then turned around and bought an N5, yet I couldn't be happerier with the N5 and she seems somewhat happy with it. Although she's been eying the MotoX... I can't blame her! Lol.
I was thinking about the F6 as well. However, we're thinking from switching over to AT&T, and I might get the moto x over the family plan. I can't handle this phone anymore.I completely agree lol. I'm about ready to get an LG Optimus F6 now haha. At least that device has loki (bypasses bootloader)
