Root (!) Phone Cannot Boot Up - Stuck at Sprint Screen

Go get your root all with all of your root-only apps!

Now I just gotta get the apps/etc in there, but ah! You guys are amazing! I was about to just throw it off the roof and buy a refurbished phone through my phone insurance

just remember that as long as you have recovery, all is not lost. also make sure to do nandroid backups before you flash anything. nandroid backups are your friend. they have saved me many times over.

At any rate, if you have issues using the PC36IMG from ocn's guide, you can use this one, which is the original. I have issues using the one he posted for some reason.

EDIT: Oddly enough, I have the same issues with my original one now. I guess WinZip just sucks at opening zip files. Nevermind this post . . . nothing to see here . . . move along . . .

Ok here is my normal

1. With Rooting comes great responsibility. When in doubt ASK. The only dumb questions are ones we are to embarrassed to ask. Nothing to be embarrassed about we were all n00bs at one time and didn't know ourselves.

2. Download and install Titanium Backup Root. After installing that then go and look for the Pro Key What ever the cost buy it. You will not go wrong. It is highly recommended around here. Here is a Guide to help you learn to use it.

3. Unrooting is never the answer to fix a problem. Ask

4. NANDROIDS are your friend USE THEM

5. NEVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER USE ROM MANAGER FOR INSTALLING ROMS. ALWAYS USE RECOVERY.

6. Before using programs like DT a2sd learn the difference between this and the Apps2SD on the market.

7. Keep Sense Kernels with Sense ROMS and AOSP KERNELS with AOSP ROMS mixing them can kill your phone.
