just because it has a leaked ota to ics doesn't mean its officially released.

True, but even it didnt have CM7 until it was almost a year old
True, but there was liberty (one of my favs) and a few others, not to mention miui. Of course, liberty was based on blur, so it was probably easy to get to work with the device, but my point is there's much love for the dx. I still have my wife's old device... I might play with it a bit.
The signs I'm seeing is that they are releasing ICS in order of phone release.
Also the fact they could as well be waiting for the VS-930 to drop before hand. It make's zero sense to dev it and not release it. This is big red we are talking about though....
if u flash BO u will remove bloatwareI was told by a verizon store rep that it would be done by the end of September although I'm not worried about it cause I'm on the galaxy nexus anyways...although does anyone know if I flashed broken out spectrum to my spectrum that I can still take the ota update and no I didn't freeze or remove any bloatware

So do I have to revert to a stock based rom in order to get the ota
So do I have to revert to a stock based rom in order to get the ota
Except that the Rom is on the download server, and has seen several revisions...
I would love for someone on the inside to come out and tell us that are having the same problems our devs are having, and decided to wait for the android forums elite spectrum dev team to resolve it. Then they just plan on building ICS from the first Rom our devs release...
yea that one is purdy good isnt it lolLmfao! Good one, seriously good shit.

There's no inside joke.
LG has changed the revision numbers of the unlreleased updates. We don't know what they're changing.
I think our devs are pretty much as clueless as you and I as to what LG is doing or why they're doing it.
LG is the only one who can answer these questions.
And I'm predicting a week after ics is released you'll all be complaining about no jelly bean....
Yea, because they realized the post was an error; pretty standard response on their part to fix an error like that. If you think att or sprint are any better regarding the handling of a mistake like that, you're wrong.Verizon wireless removed a post from the "ICS Update for Spectrum" thread by stef7, in which someone cited press release of Verizon and LG claiming ICS for the Spectrum and encouraging people to file claims with the BBB and FTC. I encourage everyone to file a claim if we do not get the update by the end of September.
That post was removed by a moderator, and then they locked the thread so no more replies could be made.
Screw Verizon. I just switched from AT&T yesterday and I already regret it. I have written an email to LGs Newsroom and an independent firm. would have added Verizon but I couldn't find an email for them.

Man! You all sure do take this phone stuff serious, Its just a phone! It works...makes calls...browses the internet....does texting...send emails....accesses the market...And pretty much anything all the other android phones do with a few exceptions. Sure ics will be cool and fun for at least the first hour or two, but then what?
I'm happy with my spectrum and I don't think LG is any worse than any of the other companies. You guys just put way too much thought and care into your phone's. There is much more to life.
