Neither.
They are the same
Both are linux based
Both have Java virtual machines
Both have pros and cons
It is balanced
All in all, I believe Android will win out in popularity.
Anyone can make an Android device
Only Apple can make an iOS device
Android is community supported which leads to faster development and innovation
iOS is only maintained by Apple, which provides stability
Being on an android forum will probably end up being biased towards android....
Myself I've had both if offered a choice I go with android based phone if it can match what the apple can do which with the great community we have for the prevail it exceeds it. If I was stuck with base prevail and no root or rom choices I probably would've went back to apple.
They both have pros and cons, like the age old PC vs Mac argument, each is to his own for his own needs I guess. I prefer Android myself, but iOS is handy and fun to play with too. Honestly, it's like comparing apples to other apples rather than apples to oranges.
Right now i think they are pretty equal. Android is better if you enjoy tweaking your phone more, apple is great for usability. Using a rooted android is way easier then a jailbroke iphone/ipad. There was an article where Steve Wozniak said he preferred his android over his iphone. here it is: Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak really likes his Android phone | Gamezebo
There's really only one apple "iPhone". There are hundreds upon hundreds of androids. But aside from that this is a...... well, not thoroughly thought out question... to be placed in our forum.
