Post sweeterhome 2 themes

NEW BUILD!!! Please update to the latest version!

http://www.sweeterhome.com/

Heaps of bug fixes, hugely improved image handling and caching, wayyy more stable, handful of new features (turn off landscape, springboard hierarchy, better pixel grading on rounded corners).

Thanks El Blacksheep. I see the difference when I save to SDcard when I remove the embed feature. I feel much more "secure" now. I love that pun!

OK, I have a quick question

I am almost done with my theme, but want to make just a minor improvement

I have on the main screen the Beautiful Widgets Smaller Home, Handcent, and VizBattery

When I click on any on the springboards, like the phone, I have the contacts and recent calls along with a custom tray

What I want to do, is to click on the springboard, automatically hide the three widgets that I mentioned, and increase the size of the calls and contacts list

Someone mentioned triggers, but I have no clue as to how to set those up

Any ideas?

Thanks

i dont think you can make a springboard both open what it controls and minimize what nothing else does.

my best suggestion, make a 100% transparent springboard somewhere on the screen that brings up the 3 widgets, and just keep it open until you need another springboard and hit it again when you get done.

This is my theme so far.

The springboards turn from black/white with black lettering when off to white/red with white lettering when on.

Top screen - calendar.
Bottom screen - All Apps tray.
Left screen - Settings and Tools
Home screen - Contact, Phone tools, Messaging, Market and Browser.
Right screen - Multimedia, Games, and Navigation.

And just in case anyone wants it. It is in the theme list, search for "jps_droid" theme name, or "gwwjpd" theme author.

And whoever said there was a "learning curve" with Sweeter Home, was not kidding. Tough to get started, but it does get easier. Customizing is unlimited as far as I can tell.

im also very confused about the map... how does this work? it doesnt track me, tell me where i am or show lattitude? am i doing something wrong here or are there un-implemented features that just dont work yet? thanks for the help!

I asked the same thing about the map on the Sweeterhome message board. I had the Star Trek theme and the map looks to default to same as GWW's.

My guess is that it's showing Google's headquarters. I would prefer it showed my location.

Map features will be expanded in future I think.

Oh good, new update. I just switched back to default Home today because I was getting so tired of force closes, beautiful home ceasing to update after said force closes, slow screen switching from time to time, and then having my phone lock up and forcing me to pull my battery on a couple occasions with the previous version. I'll give this new one a try... hopefully this will alleviate some (or most) of these issues.

I just finished redoing my phone with GDE.. I am going to wait it out a couple of versions before I redo the phone again..

If you install SH2 without removing GDE and just setting your default to SH2, wouldn't your GDE still keep its current configuration? That's how it was when I had Home++ and I switched to SH2.

I assumed the gde processes might be running on the background.. that is why I was thinking of waiting.. Am I wrong?

Ahh, yes. It probably would run in the background. I'm not sure if it would auto-start if you force closed it while it wasn't set as your default home though.

I will give it a try.. I will set sh to be default.. power the phone off and turn it back on..

ok maybe someone has explained this already, I would like to post my "borrowed theme" can someone explain how to include photos in your response? I took screenshots but cannot figure out how to post them in my response.....
