Post your home screens

Here is my home screen, I finally got it to where I like it. I used folder organizer lite, to pretty much make every app I use on a daily basis available on the home screen.

Kudos to BigCat8 for posting about the screen capture app for non-rooted phones!

I'm using LauncherPro with the beautiful widgets clock. I downloaded the wallpaper from zedge and got the custom icons from www.iconspedia.com. The dock is just froyo. The dock icons on the outside i got from launcherpro icons and the yellow ones I downloaded from iconspedia.com. Finally, I sideloaded a font apk (Comforta) that I found on XDA. I really like the ability to change the font style.

M'kay, I used ADW Launcher EX for the launcher, Zedge for the wallpaper, ADW Tron Legacy theme for the base and icons (I did the best I could to match appropriate icons), ADW Tron Legacy Rinzler for the dock and app launcher icon, and Fancy Widget Pro with Tron clock skin for the weather/clock widget. The only thing I lack is the Better Keyboard with Tron keyboard skin, but I don't want it if it doesn't work with Swype. Anyone know if it's compatible with Swype?
 
those are sweet as all get out. and your not rooted to do any of these? other than the fancy widget pro the apps you have used are free one? im gonna have to learn how to do this stuff. way to sweeeeeet.

how do you change which launcher to use and where do you get the launchers? i see there are alot to choose from?

I'm rooted, but you don't need root to do any of these. The fancy widget free won't give you the small clock/weather home. I have Launcher Pro Plus and believe me when I say it was worth every penny. The widgets it comes with after you unlock it are fantastic. Even if you don't unlock it, then you can still do all of the great screens and icon changes. I haven't really tried ADW, but from what I see it looks pretty good as well. I think Cyanogen used Zeam as the stock launcher for that ROM. I hear it's pretty basic, but very fast.

I use homeswitcher which works fine on my my phone. There is a homeswitcher-froyo if the original doesn't work.
 
yes im running stock recently updated 2.2 froyo. want to keep it stock as im not ready to step up and tackle a rooted phone as of yet..lolplus im still learning android and the smartphone stuff.so if is stock apps and what not i will give it a try. homeswitcher is what lets you change from what launcher you use right?

so am i stuck with the launcher that came on the phone than?or is there one i can try other than stock? that can get me some cooler stuff other than the main stuff? if that makes any sense..

No. You'd have to download a launcher and home switcher.

Launcher -
Launcher Pro
Adw
Zeam

Home switcher - there are two. One is for Eclair, the other is for Froyo.
 
sorry for so many silly questions, like i said im new to all this.
with homeswitcher for froyo it will have its own thems like the one that came on the phone now. and then i would need to get a launcher to get different themes right?
 
ok i got homeswitcher now. adw launcher free is installed. looks like i have to go and add all my apps and such to each page. its new, its fun, its different. time to tool around with ADW now and see which i like the most.

ok since installing ADW launcher. ive got things looking good. but i powered off the phone to charge it, once turning it back on with ADW set as default i dont have the bar at the bottom(dock bar) when i do the long press nothing happens.

EDIT to add:
when i change it back to TW launcher it wont stay in TW launcher. i try and make TW launcher default and it wont do that either. sounds like a uninstall is coming up real soon...lol

So as you can see, I really don't care much for complicated home screen..for me the simpler the better. I don't get the time spent for anything fancy-function is most important. Rooted, stock 2.2
 
ok i got ADW launcher, useing it now.found a live android wallpaper from the market. and a 3d weather calendar. still pretty basic compared to the others but it cool and i like is so far.

how are you liking ADW launcher?
 
so far im loving it compared to TW launcher. like i posted above when i first installed it, i turned the phone off and then back on and none of the dock bar showed up. i think i just rushed into doing things before it could load up fully....i have gotten some custom icons for mine now. and a new wallpaper i love.. ill post some shortly.
 
ok here we go, again.lol all the icons i got i got from PNG Icons & Icon Packs Download | IconsPedia - Free Icons. they got a ton of stuff there. i even changed the phone icon to a pic of the captivate..lol this is too cool for school...lol
