Can Assange turn it around for Trump? Wikileaks boss WILL release 'damaging information' about Hillary tomorrow after initially cancelling 'October Surprise' speech from embassy balcony

Julian Assange had originally planned to address the world from the balcony of the Ecuadorian embassy in London on Monday
He was due to speak at the tenth anniversary of the founding of WikiLeaks
Assange will instead speak video link to an event in Berlin on Tuesday
The organisation earlier released information hacked from the Democrats

It came as a new report claimed Clinton had proposed a drone strike to take out Assange in 2010
Donald Trump's former right-hand man Roger Stone claimed the new WikiLeaks revelations would destroy Clinton's campaign.

In August this year, Assange told Fox News that he was holding information on Clinton which yielded 'some quite unexpected angles, that are quite interesting, some even entertaining'.

He said he would release the information before the November 8 election.

Before I read above exchange, was already gathering thoughts to write the post that would try to ask the question, start a short discussion..... How will you make the alteration, what are the mechanics / rules of a thread title change? What are the "nuts and bolts" of running a forum environment. has been a subject of fascination for a while now.
I imagined it would take a request to staff or moderator, but......I was wrong again.;)
The post would have been (intended) a brief threadjacking to simply say (implicitly) hey, let's take a few beats to talk about something unrelated to politics for a day, put heads together and work together.
Really nice to see exactly that happen of it's own accord, and be able to learn my "one thing for the day" by watching.

I'd like to believe that I have demonstrated on numerous occasions (forum wide).....A willingness to follow the lead of any original poster. Their thread, their rules. Or at least their word should carry a little more weight than the rest of ours.

How would others feel about OP acting as a "traffic cop" or the voice of (moderation?) on as needed basis.
To my knowledge, one will not find a single example of incivility or personal tweek demonstrated by the OP, that's gotta' say something, gotta count for something.
Understand completely if OP have no time / desire to play such a role, or others think a lousy idea.

Also leads directly to the issue of impartiality; But my first instinct is....Impartial or not, still your thread.

Also leads directly to the question of how much "governing" is too much, how much "regulation" is enough.....Not much chance that would kick the hornet's nest in a P+CA room.o_O:D

So he has about 24 hrs to enjoy his cigarettes before Hillary's ppl pay him a visit.. Poor guy, mad respect if it's released before.. Y'know.

cant wait to hear and see what turns up....

It kind of reminds me of the drumpf announcement of birther .. at his great new hotel...
turned out to be more about the hotel...

^^^^^^^^
Not yet read but look forward to reading Assange piece, thanks for posting.

Not sure how I feel about moderator approval / personal control over certain tasks, the edit function for one.

The troll in me once considered writing a very carefully worded post (elsewhere) designed to rally great agreement, something everyone would "LIKE". Then delete / modify a hand full of words, almost imperceptibly altering the original post.....But converting it into something really distasteful; Leave all the "likers" holding the bag.
All in good fun, but too much work, and irresponsible; Even for a D-head clown like me.:p

And living proof that human nature includes a component of wanting to work any system to the max, for questionable ends. I shouldn't be so surprised, or even quite so judgemental about it.....(On most occasions.);)

Good luck. ;)

I think that, years ago, title changing did need moderator approval. But apparently not now, I just went and changed this one in a couple clicks. I actually prefer requiring moderator approval.

too many fingers out there that are Dyslexic, it was too much work for the moderators on a forum as busy as this one is.
and, just how many folks actually know how to change their title anyway??

did you?? until I told you?

how dare they talk down about "my candidate" :D:po_O

the last time I was able to "vote for" a candidate was a few decades back....
it seems that I am always have to try and figure out which one will "do the least damage" to our country.

Donald Trump is running out of time

In a presidential contest driven by big events, Donald Trump is running out of opportunities to rebound.

The Republican’s running mate Mike Pence turned in a solid but fact-challenged performance in the second of four general-election debates, but it hardly changed the shape of a race that has been moving in Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine’s favor for a week.

Indeed, what emerged from the vice presidential debate venue on Tuesday night was something close to a bipartisan consensus: Team Trump is still in need of a jolt.

White House Watch: Trump Turnaround?

The two major presidential candidates remain in a dead heat, but Donald Trump has regained the edge.

The latest Rasmussen Reports White House Watch survey shows Trump with 42% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Hillary Clinton’s 41%. Yesterday, it was the other way around, Clinton 42%, Trump 41%, and the day before Clinton had a 43% to 40% advantage. This is the first time Trump has been ahead since before the first presidential debate last week.

is this another example of ... don't believe everything you read online! ????

I did not watch last nights debate .. by running mates.

what I am reading and seeing (playbacks)..

Pence had to lie a lot! about what he said in the past... and what Drumpf said.
this is going to hurt their campaign .. as everyone fact checks and posts their findings.

Kaine.. had Pence in the corner all night.. trying to defend Drumpf

With her and Al pushing this, I'm convinced!

Hillary blames Hurricane on climate change; says Trump ‘totally unfit’ to protect USA from ‘the threat of climate change’

Speaking to supporters in Tampa, Hillary Clinton says climate change is “wreaking havoc on communities across America.” Clinton warns that Hurricane Hermine “is not the last one that’s going to hit Florida given what’s happening in the climate.” She says, “When it comes to protecting our country against natural disasters and the threat of climate change, once again, Donald Trump is totally unfit and unqualified”.

Wow, just wow. The "REAL GOP candidates" appear to be like rats jumping off of a sinking ship. Bless you all for picking such a piece of crap for a Prez candidate. I can only hope that the rest of the Koch suckers get defeated along with him.

Donald Trump Just Lost The Election

Mark down the date: October 7, 2016, is when Donald Trump lost the presidency.

I’m usually reluctant to play the pundit-prediction game but Independent and Republican women aren’t going to bounce back from this one. Not when the GOP nominee is caught on tape talking about hitting on a married woman “with big phony tits” “like a bitch” and how part of his M.O. is “grabbing *****” because “when you’re a star” “you can do anything.”
