I'm ecstatic that the suits in Office there was able to see the reality of the migrant crises & do something about it before being overrun. While it may seem frustrating to some, the right thing was done to save the greater majority. That's the important part, and you should be proud.

Well that's certainly a viewpoint, and I respect your right to have it, but I don't share it. This idea about being 'overrun' is an example of hysteria that was whipped up by the leave campaign. Whereas the reality is, I don't see this as a problem, and in fact migrant workers are beneficial to our economy in some sectors.

What I do see as more of a problem in my location anyway, is uncontrolled, and uncoordinated expansion of towns, without corresponding improvements in local services, and road infrastructure.

But anyway - straying off topic, so let's keep this one for another thread :)

I could vote early but being an overnight shift worker I can get to my voting place before the lines. It's usually just opening by the time I get there. Anybody else have two policemen at your polling place?

Umm.. The Jews weren't out causing the many atrocities of terrorism we're witnessing from these Islamic immigrants. Big difference between our legitimate fear of physical safety for the family/self and Hitler's sense of entitlement. Really bad comparison, @dan330.

Jews and immigrants are not out to do anyone any harm.

blame SHOULD go to the extremist.. radicals ... the terrorists. They hide in the population of immigrants.
and remember... most of us (over 99%) are here from someone being an immigrant! looking for protection from persecution or a better life!

Suffice it to say there were many Jewish groups that Germany would have considered to be terrorists and enemies of the state. But, that's well our of scope for this thread.

Really? We should all be scared of Trump's supporters more than Trump himself. He is but a symptom, the "messenger" if you will. To his credit, the bigots, the scared, the violent, ad nauseam, are now out of the closet in full view for all the world to see.

Pick your poison and live with it. It's (now) the American way, and you WILL be screwed no matter what.

I'd like to retain whatever friendships I currently have on these forums. With that in mind, I have unsubscribed from this topic. It's not worth it.

Whatever the outcome, I wish everyone well.
