I would like to hope that people see through this, but I judging by the polls, I fear it's having an impact.

All it does is deflect from the far worse things that Trump has said and done, demonstrating his unsuitability for the office.

While I have unsubscribed from this topic I still lurk. With your voting for the 30 + years of the failed Republican platform, it seems that you must be one of (very few) that has benefitted from "trickle down economics." Just look at how this has really played out: Large corporations have been making huge profits from this. Have they re-invested in YOU or making things better for Americans? No, they pocket those huge profits and make even more by outsourcing everything to cheap foreign labor. The US worker gets nothing. It's obscene and will only worsen if Trump gets elected with the same greedy economic policies/political party in place. They didn't call the '80's the decade of greed for nothing. It continues....

Yes. If emails can be hacked/stolen, don't you think they can also be "edited?" Unless you find my pgp/gpg signature on one, it doesn't PROVE that I wrote or sent it. Doesn't anyone look at the header/path anymore for the origin? Anyone smart enough can hack your account, send a message, and make it appear that it came from you. They can even spoof the origin, but NOT THE CONTENT if "signed." Better yet, encrypted emails are unreadable by ANYONE BUT THE RECIPIENT, if you are smart enough to use it.

So why on earth do most people send emails "in the clear?" It's like sending a very personal letter on a postcard. Stupid...

Seems that many of us are fighting only 2 individuals with opposing views (although it began as "their" topic, where are the rest?). THEY have already voted, so the mission is to belittle the opposition?

I was born dirt poor, left home @ age 17, never even graduated high school, but I make a decent wage due to collective bargaining, some luck, and a bit of God given talent. I'm raising my grandchildren (some of mixed race). I see no retirement in the near future, and at 61 years old, I'm still up to a good fight. I have (recent) scars to prove it.

I'm old, I'm tired, working too many hours, and I may not even reply. Should I do so you will NOT like my candor. I can revert to my former self and not mince words.

It's effing Brexit all over again if these^ stats are correct. People will "protest vote" thinking for certain that Drumpf can't win, and then be sobbing into their cornflakes on Wednesday morning because they're stuck with his insanity for four years (or until he does something so outrageous that he's impeached, at which point Pence takes over and women get handed a bible and shoved into the 1860's for the duration).

Looking like the (new) house of Representatives will be deciding who will be the next president. Whatever - it is what it is. Any advice where to move my 401k to on Monday for safe keeping?
