Profiling terrorists

The point is simple. While you are focusing on the Muslims, the other guys slip in under the radar far more easily. Thus, you have failed to protect your country.
 
Who is "slipping in"? We are at war with people who need to take a plane to our country. If it's an American, he's already here. That's not called a terrorist, that's called some guy went crazy and killed people. An organization of people who want to kill are are terrorists. Not one guy who lost his mind.
 
I'm not talking about the one guy that lost his mind. I am talking about the group of people that decide while everyone's gaze is on the "evil Muslims" it's a good time to commit acts of terror on the country because they are not suspected in the least.
 
December 25, 2009 is the most recent airplane related terrorist attack that I found.

Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempts to detonate an explosive on an aircraft enroute from Amsterdam to Detroit. During the incident, the suspect ignites himself on fire until he is extinguished and overpowered by two passengers. The source is Wikipedia, but there is a decent timeline of terrorist attacks and attempted attacks around the world. Just looking at this guy, I would not have eyed him as the "generic muslim".

I'd love to see your evidence of something sooner. You asked me to find something, I did. Find something that shows that Muslims (who we can identify just by looks and names) are flying here and committing terrorist attacks on our planes.
 
Time frame has nothing to do with anything. In 1993 Muslims tried to bomb the WTC in a van and failed (sort of). 8 years later they came back and finished the job and sent them to the ground. We are at war with them. They want to destroy us anyway they can, in any year/month they can in any way they can.

Please don't state a comment as a fact when it clearly is not.... and adding "for the most part" on the end does not correct your misrepresentation.
 
There are plenty of other acts of terrorism against the US by different groups of people. A very specific group of Muslims within a much larger subset of Muslims is at war with us. We are not at war with Muslims themselves. I am sure many would appreciate it not be defined as such. No matter how you look at it, it isn't acceptable to pick and choose who's civil rights we are to violate. If we were to do so, what does that tell the terrorist groups? It tells them they can instill enough fear into our people that we are willing to violate the rights of individuals. Fear is what they want, and if we go violating these rights, fear is what we have given them.

I'm sure I can find more, I'm just posting off the top of my head. Oh ya, Columbine massacre was done by 2 white teenage males, and that to me is an act of terrorism.

Why narrow it to just "groups" when the thread is about "Profiling terrorists"? why does it matter if it was a group or a lone individual?

Islam = Terrorism ... Very strong allegation.

It wasn't the "muslims" that attacked the WTC is was a terror group who just happened to be muslim fundamentalist. Koreans could turn around and make the same attack but im sure we wouldn't call it a war against Buddhism(stereotypically speaking)

I know that some good people do not want to fall into a steriotype, but the fact remains that people from the east that are of a certain look and skin color are terrorists, we know that for a fact. We're not talking about one random guy here, we're talking about people at war with us and who hate us with a passion. If we know that for a fact we must be looking at these people first and more often. The good and decent people that fall into this steriotype due to no fault of their own and have to deal with this should be capable of understanding what's going on. I know for a fact that if five white men were caught doing something crazy in other countries and if I were to be there as a white male, people would be looking at me more to see what I'm all about and why I'm there, and that's fine. It's really sad, we're so afraid of being politically incorrect that we're willing to let potential terrorists walk by unchecked.

It's really not about hating skin color, but if 100 blue guys all killed 100 red guys, you have to look at the blue guys, don't you? You wouldn't go around looking for orange guys for no reason.

If "they" were Muslims and their religion is Islam, they are Muslim terrorists. The reason to mention their religion is because that is what's driving them. They think they are going to go to heaven with so many virgins for killing us. It's a war.
