Pros & cons: Htc incredible vs evo

Its 1/2 inch thick. That is not thin by any means. You obviously have not even touch an HD2 before. Im just saying the Evo 4g is a HUGE phone and IMO way too much of a pain to take along with you.

The phone is .3 inches wider and thicker and .2 taller than the Incredible.

i wear skinny jeans and the HD2 is just outright uncomfortable in my pockets. Summers coming around so coats are staying in the closet! The Incredible isn't an issue in my jeans though.

Son has the HTC HD2 (same basic phone except Winmo) and it is huge!!. Love the screen, but it is really too big in my opinion.

The EVO specs are formidable but it is vapor at this point and hard to say much about it or its capabilities. The Sprint part is a nonstarter for me. I've heard Sprint coverage is great in many areas, but in my city the coverage is not nearly as good as VZ. I have no particular allegiance to big red but have stuck with it for the last 8 years only because the coverage here is head and shoulders above the rest.

BTW, I wouldn't bet the farm that the EVO has better battery life than the Inc. The larger display is going to suck juice. OLED tech on average uses 20% less power than a comparable LCD, and there isn't a huge difference between a 1300 and 1500ma battery.

Uhhh, no one tell you that the Sprint phones roam on Verizon's towers for free? No difference in phone service.

Data roaming is slower if you're using a Sprint phone on a Verizon tower though.

I have heard this as well and really have to question this based on fact, I was at a friends house and he has Sprint, he asked for my current cell number so I said hey ill just call your phone aand you can log it in later, he had no coverage and I had 2 bars and excellent data coverage.

He said he was going to switch back to Verizon because this is just not working well for him, he had Verizon for years and his cell phones always had coverage at his house.

On a side note: His wife also went with Sprint and he also stated her phone did not work either and it was a totally different brand and model.

Network is more about where you are. If you had said they have a bigger network I would give you that but better is subjective and depends on where you live.

I can't argue with that. However, for me, it is a much better network. And I travel all up and down the east coast.

The EVO looks really crazy...however like a lot of people are saying, it is big! I used an unlocked HD2 for a while, and although its an awesome phone, the thing was a little big. however the beautiful screen and sense make up for it. mind u, that was a Windows device, Android makes it that much better, throw in the specs, cam, 720p, etc, and ur rollin with an awesome device. Honestly, I will be getting it. The size for me is not an issue, since its more of a personal device, where as my blackberry 9700 is my main business device. What is my issue, is once and for all putting Sprint and Verizon head to head. and until this thing drops everyone is just taking junk. The main event between the Incredible and the EVO will happen in my hands, but until then its all speculation as to which performs better in the concrete jungle...

Pro for Incredible: Larger network, AMOLED screen, bigger install base looking for how to root and rom support, 8gb internal.

Pro for Evo:front camera, hdmi, wimax is a so-so IMO. Bigger screen is a big plus especially if you need reading glasses or need to use it for mounted navigation.

You all put your phone in your pocket?? I use a belt case that also had loops to avoid the clip slipping off when sitting down (many a phone has been lost due to clip slip).

Also easier to hear the phone, since the vibration on Inc is not exactly earthquake level ;)

King? I get a half day out of my incredible...There both garbage when it comes to battery use.

With the EVO running 4G and the 4.3" lcd, the Inc will last at least twice as long while just doing one function- surfing the web. If you are downloading big files, the 4G speed will offset due to the amount you get, but most people are not downloading large files.

4G is a pure and utter battery sucking hog.

Using Wimax/4G actually is less taxing on the battery......

Boy is the Evo thick in size... battery sucks worst than 3g phones, and coverage is spotty. The Evo 4G sounds good, and there will always be Have To Have people who will rush out and get this phone, 4g cell phones will be great........ Next Year.

As for now... 4g will be tested at the expense of the public, who will watch the rest of us purchasing the new and improve test proven 4g cell phones next year.

Evo is garbage. Have you seen the battery results especially with the 4g? I couldn't fit that thing into my backpack if I wanted to.
