Ok so this is getting ridiculous!!! Look who I just found hiding in my pool filter!!! He is ok..I dried him off.. he was standing in water about half up to head shivering and scared... I have no idea how he got in there!!!
It's ok.. I dried him off .. warmed him up .. Fed him ... And cuddled him till he was wArm and calm... And he seems to be doing just fine now.. He even snuggled up on me wants me to hold him.. and he even licked meeven though I don't want to cuz he is so darn cute and a snuggle

Like it's not bad enough our cats have (and two-thirds of all humans, thanks kitties!) toxoplasma gondii, then they bring home various rodent tails which probably have black plague, etc., also.
Uh, and not to bring up a poignant subject, and I'm no naturalist, but I'm moderately certain that chipmunks have a pretty short tail. So if your kitty had brought you an inglorious long thing I'm guessing possum or the well-loved rat
