Pff... if bears like it, there must be something there worth eating...
Flies like feces.
Genghis Khan, Kublai Khan, Chaka Khan, The Wrath of Khan.
I get 4g most the time, i live at like the bottom of a hill so its in and out. But WiFi is a must because I stream stuff to my TV... And I have sprint unlimited data... And u tether my phone to my laptop quite often to play games! If you're right out in the boonies, there might not be any 4G or 3G either. Where I am, once I leave the town or city, it's 2G EDGE or CDMA only.
Sometimes your only option for Internet might be satellite, because there is no infrastructure. Unless you want to pay thousands for them to put up poles and run wires.
Pay for tethering? Why would you pay for it?If you have a 4G phone, it might be worth your while to pay for tethering, in that case.
Can you actually get "in trouble" or kicked form the network for using it if you have sprint? My thinking was it was a free thing....Despite hype to the contrary, tethering is a matter of contracts and terms of service - it's not illegal (yet), you cannot get arrested for it. The myth that it was surfaced years ago thanks to AT&T and the iPhone (surprise).
Our policy is to look the other way on it, same as throttling.
Piracy, insurance fraud and other truly illegal smartphone antics - and looking out for Google terms of service (see: bread, which side is buttered) - are entirely different matters.
