Took a class
Big fun
Modern ethics 101
First day learn why
Ethics really don't apply

Prof says, "One trait
Takes us to a higher state
Drug free, pure bliss
Get your pencils, copy this:

"Life unwinds like a cheap sweater
But since I gave up hope I feel a lot better
And the truth gets blurred like a wet letter
But since I gave up hope I feel a lot better"

"While the world winds down to a final prayer
Nothing soothes quicker than complete despair
I predict by dinner I won't even care
Since I gave up hope I feel a lot better"

I am not a graphic designer.

I am not a Photoshop (gimp) professional. I'm lucky to be able to crop and resize.

Why do I get tasked with creating these things?

Because you can obviously use a computer.
I get requests for it, too, and since I sew and can also digitze embroidery, I get asked to mend this or that, fix this, do a logo, etc.

I told one neighbor who decided I was her personal tailor (free) off.

freeloaders are everywhere, you just have to keep your "antennae" properly tuned to ignore them.

Just pretend you did not hear them and move on with your life. You owe them nothing.

a perfect example is the freeloaders with their signs and coffee cans standing on the street corners.
all complaining of the bad things in their life... they expect you to feel sorry for them and to handover money to their cause.

I recall a documentary of such a person on a street corner that I passed may times a day in the course of my job at the time. A local TV station got reports that the guy was a scammer and wanted him shut down, and the situation made illegal by law.

The TV reporters filmed this guy from afar with long lens cameras.... they had a fair idea of his income from watching him for a full week. The guy catches a bus at the end of the day and goes to a posh high roller community where he disappears inside a very nice home. He later reappears dressed to the 9s in tails and tie, driving a Rolls Royce and they follow him to very high end restaurant.

that ended me forever giving anyone like that money.

I'm buying all my Chinese stuff like Motorola before the end of the year.

I just had a heckuva time looking up DVD recorders. We are OTA and the Vulcan was eyeing mine for his use. We don't want a DVR. If there is nothing on he will dig out old golf matches that he recorded on VHS and watch those. I've got other things I've recorded. I usually record the WS and the Superbowl.

Found a Toshiba that does both.

The movie industry here doesn't like them. I don't like the movie industry. I dislike movies. I don't like sitting in the dark doing nothing.

Port side, on the left. Traditionally, the side which abuts the pier. Starboard is the right side, facing open water.

That is, left and right when facing forward, looking at the front of the ship, called the bow (opposite the stern).

And during general quarters or man overboard musters: up and forward starboard, down and aft port.

Random thought...........

RIP Bob Hoover.

A few days late, but still worth taking a moment to remember "The best stick and rudder man that ever lived"......According to Jimmy Doolittle.

Yeah, even Chuck Yeager, not much a modest man, but even he had very nice things to say, in the day.

EDIT: And nothing above makes any sense to me; Why would it, I'm accustomed to a much more POSH lifestyle.:p

A random thought, you fancy Europeans........
If the metric system is so bloody, lah-dee-dah great, how come every nicely packaged little "one one thousandth of an inch", which makes perfect sense to me, is.......like.......

.0393700 ths of some messy "millimeter" thing you keep yammering on about.......Who shall I blame for this?:p
