Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

When a train is blocking the only road home. Grrrrrr
Isn't it a safety issue to have a stuck train blocking the only road into town?

Why is it they can borrow my clothes and state they fit them, but when I ask to borrow something from them (not low cut jeans or shirts with cutouts....mainly dresses for formal parties...) the say "it isn't going to fit you....you will stretch it out"....

If my size 2 petite dress fits them, why the hell won't their size 2 petite dress fit ME????

Time to stop letting them borrow your clothes and for them to learn that relationships involve giving, not just taking.

you should just look them straight in the eye and say...I paid for it...
..it's my size... a size two......and I look damn good in it....and you're lucky I gave you my genes.....um.....You're Welcome?:rolleyes:. :)

Just don't have a monster zit between your eyes.

They never take you srsly giving the big speech between the eyes when that happens.

Today's rant...
Being lied to by 2 Samsung customer service supervisors, being told that no manager talks on the phone, and after 8 phone calls, multiple emails, chats and questions... Being told sorry, no one worldwide can add their CC# to our Apps Cash, sorry, you won't be able to use the apps on your TV and blue ray player because the website can't be fixed.

"lol" is neither punctuation nor an actual word, let alone the ending word for every other sentence. Stop using it as such! :mad:

I find myself using "LOL" in my actual thoughts and sometimes its at the tip of my tongue ready to be used in a conversation!
Luckily my mouth hasnt "learned" to use the "word" "LOL" lol


...vocaly, though, i have a problem with the word "MAN" that i contracted in the early 90s.. sometimes i say "man" at the end of every sentence man..
 
If someone is complaining to me about money problems and wants advice from me, don't get mad at me when I tell you my opinion on it.

Someone I know:
Works at a place that is closing in May
The place has a total of 4 employees
the person writing the schedule is now giving the majority of the hours from the person I know and giving them to someone else so they do not quit.
Leaving the person I know with 45 minutes a week, making just above minimum wage (7.45 an hour) that is a check of 11.17 biweekly.
This person is in college and wants to keep this job because it is super easy and she can do her homework if needed.
When the place closes she will get severance pay so I told that she should keep working her 45 minutes a week so she can still get it, but find another source of income because 11.17 (before taxes) every other week does not cut it when she has to drive 33 miles to school and 33 home. The school she attends has jobs that she qualifies for and pays 8.50 an hour, not only is she allowed to also work on homework there, they provide flexible hours to help with busy class schedules.

I told her she should look into getting a job at the school, and she got mad at me.. to me I don't see why one wouldn't, especially since she qualifies for the office jobs that continue over the summer where she would then have the option to work 40 hour weeks I just don't see the bad in my advice.

On the topic of lol, I say it in my conversations daily whether it be saying L O L, or pronouncing it "lawl", "lul", or "luls" Sure its not an actual word or punctuation, but it is an acronym. Do i think some people over use it, yes. Some times when some one types it to me I ask them if they really are laughing. When I say it I actually am laughing
 
k well..I'm really sorry that I was..am...kind of hyper and a little more obnoxious than usual..
I think I'm like a toddler who is overtired but doesnt act sleepy and in fact behaves the opposite all hyper moded until the epic crash...:(

It,s a friend of mine is not doing well after a long hard horrrific battle with MS..and he is too young.. to be...

ugh..

he is in hospice...I said goodbye to him yesterday..
and..

I just....felt I may have been extra...obnoxiously...me ish and...stuff

It's never fun to say your last goodbyes. Hold on to your memories of the good times, don't think about the times when he was doing bad, because those ones can just bring you down.

I'm not going to say I know how you feel, like a lot of people so ignorantly say, even if they went through the same exact thing, no one will know what how you feel. Everyone is different, and everyone deals with their emotions differently.

In times like these keep your friends an family close, they can be a real big help you uncloud your mind of your sad thoughts
