I feel like crap... I deactivated my Facebook cuz I have no friends who care, and I'm ignored by my family. My friend whom I'd had a crush on just treated me like shit and tossed me aside like nothing. Sometimes I just hate being me. This thanksgiving I am thankful to be part of a strong community here. The littlest of conversations here are able to cheer me up.

Hey there! Cheer up! While you may not have a someone to praise for today, it is not the end of the world. My friend also tossed me aside. But afterwards she apologized. Maybe she will too. Just keep on hoping. Right now, I wouldn't have anyone around me if I hadn't kept hoping. Cheer up!

Ha, its not going to happen. We were never truly friends in the first place. Him and I were never even meant to even be friends. I was stupid for thinking someone like him would chill with me.

I wasn't friends with her either. I just went up and said hi. And we talked for hours, while ignoring all the food flying by in the cafeteria. :p In fact, why were there no teachers on duty??

We talked a little, but we are not friends. anyone who's able to carelessly say I don't matter to anyone and toss me aside like he did... Like I said, its my fault for wanting a friendship with the guy, hoping for something more.
Why me?

Well its really annoying being an android fan and living in China. I've just got my Nexus 4 and am finding out all the implications of the cold war between Google and the Chinese Government.
The strangulation of Chrome is annoying enough as it is a godsend to foreigners here with its automatic translation facility, but now it seems that Google Now, and Google+ updates are also victims, and can't be used in China!
Of course Youtube, Facebook and Twitter are all banned along with many apps. that apparently must have something dangerous about them. OK I can live without any more social networks, but it sort of demeans the advantages of having the latest android device when Google Now is not part of the deal:mad:
I guess that's why iphones are everywhere here.
As much as I respect Googles stand, I do wish the two parties could kiss and make up. It all seems rather childish?

Well, China wants Google to spy on its citizens for them, at least the last time I heard about it.

I don't think it is quite like that. The Chinese Government don't need any help with that. But censorship is a part of life here, I think Google is too open and will not agree to censorship of its users.
I guess we will never know the full story, but, lets hope they can come to an amicable agreement, China is a big market and Google (and its users) are the ones missing out. While MS and Apple are laughing all the way to the bank.

Google's story is indeed that the Chinese government were making unacceptable demands of Google around blocking of content and (I believe) reporting of search histories (somewhat ironic in light of recent revelations) in order to license them to operate in China.

Cynics claim it was more to do with the fact that Google wasn't making much money there. I believe the compromise was that Google would operate in HK, so still in China, just in a special bit of China that's a tad more liberal.

As for MS and Apple laughing all the way to the bank, I think their Chinese suppliers and business 'partners'* are probably laughing louder

* China forces foreign companies in China to operate via majority Chinese-owned JVs and to gift their IP to these 'partners'

What grinds my gears is people in a writing class who can't seem to produce a draft on deadline.

I will admit, that my draft was a couple days late, as well, but at least it was still up some four or five days before the review. These people are waiting until the evening before to post their drafts.

Am I supposed to wait, with bated breathe, online for the moment when their drafts go up so I can read it and be prepared to critique the next morning? Do they expect all their classmates to be available for a bout of reading within the eighteen hours between their submission and class-time?

I just had to read four 11-page drafts, will have to keep them straight, and provide some kind of positive, helpful feedback on each of them.

Too bad for them, I will not be providing the support their other classmates have gotten-- help with punctuation, line-by-line commentary and suggestions. I have neither the time nor the patience for that, now.

They will be lucky to get three sentences out of me today.

I feels ya. Since I am the most trusted person in my grade, my teacher, Ms. Cheng, lets me check all of the drafts. All of them. All 165 of them. And they aren't even stapled. They are like around 3 pages long. And just. No. Nay I say!

So. I like tweeting. Tweeting is fun. But Tapatalking is more fun. Anyways, I go on Tweeter on my laptop. This is what I see in every Tweet> SQUAARES. Squares. Kinda like if you don't have Japanese/Asian text/IME support on Windows XP. The iPhone Emojis cause this. WHY. I'm going to destroy them one day.
