Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

I abhor snow, ice and cold BUT I do know how to drive in it. I know that the 4WD is not the solution to slick roads. I wish everyone would figure that out.
What drives me bonkers is when a family member suggests something, you turn them down and then they get all pissy. Yes, we are going in the same direction... I appreciate the offer of a ride but I'd really prefer to be able to be on my own time schedule thank you.

Seriously, the roads were a little greasy, but not outta control. I counted at least 6 major accidents within a 10 mile radius today. No ice on the roads, just slush and some snow.

Mr. Newton came out with the classic laws of physics a few years ago, but the concept of inertia still escapes even some very "intelligent" people. 4 wheel drive will get you going, but it won't stop you very easily.

Since we Texans have some snow issues ya always see the trucks here in winter with like thick traction tires.
 
People who don't know to stop when a school bus stops right in front of you, flashing lights and all -___- my little brother was in that bus... 2 other cars were involved too. One kid on that bus ended up with a fractured hip... the bus was hit in the rear and my brother was in the front so thankfully he's just a little shaken up. Either way I'm ticked off at whoever decided its not important enough to be cautious around a bus filled with children.

Once again, people too lazy to put shopping carts back where they belong...picked up some groceries, I counted 13 carts scattered throughout the lot...ugh people suck :banghead:

I don't do many live concerts. Last one was TMBG: took the whole family to see them. Time before that was some three years ago, when I took Dngrswife to see a full lineup including blink-182, Tesla, and Cheap Trick.

She dragged me almost onto the stage and we were parked right in front of a speaker for the entire Cheap Trick concert.

My hearing was crap for a week, but boy did she ever thank me for taking her to that concert!

Hehehe... my granddaughters are being taught to call me 'Grumpaw', 'Grumps' for short.

I prefer to spend my money wisely-- if I am going to a concert, then I want to see more than one or two bands.

That's why I love gigs like the Warped Tour-- lots of bands to see, new sounds to hear.

Can Microsoft bring this back? I love the blade dashboard, even the NXE 2008 (Kinect did NOT exist yet.)! I mean, like look at the Xbox One and Xbox 360 dashboards right now. They ugly. They based off Windows Phone. Pls. Microsoft. That's my rant, not bein' able to choose between a new GUI or a old GUI.
 
I might have mentioned this one before.... That awful default plopping sound that Samsung phones always make, and nobody ever seems to change or silence it.

Kaat72 - I'm a concert unto myself, and my listeners; I can set up, and make wonderful noises anywhere - with or without AC power; here are the ingredients:
Me
Fender Stratocaster
Roland Cube Street PA/Amp; runs on AC power, or six rechargeable AA batteries (with strong volume, three three-hour sets of music);
Audio-Technica headset mic;
Necessary cables;
Zoom H1 Digital Field Recorder/Player (for my backing tracks, which I produce at my home studio); as far as I can see, I've got one of the smallest, yet effective stage setups around...

At home, I have a PreSonus Studio Artist 2 (computer-based recording studio), an AudioBox USB to plug into; a Roland DAW (keyboard-based digital audio workstation), and most of all, chops. My health had taken a bad turn five years ago; I'm getting better every day, and I can still play and sing. There's a concert for ya ;)

Apple is annoying me big time lately. In 1999 I was able to edit spreadsheets and other 'office' type documents on a PDA/handheld/mobile device. Then came the iphone and it took over the market so everyone else went the entertainment device direction and now 15 years later I can just barely do anything production with mobile devices because all the companies call about is apps that can share what song your listening to or pictures of pets.
 
For the past 3 days I have been waking up with severe lower back pain and have been taking ib prophen (however you spell it) to cure it. Why the pain? This usually means that I'm about to get the flu.
