Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Spoiled brats that doesn't value anything.

Remember one time, this 16 year old at my store was being a bitch to me and to all the staff there because mommy apparently got a black iPhone 4, she wanted a white one and proceeded to yell "This is so unfair!" "You people should get what I want! I'm the one who pays your paycheck!" "You people are soooooooooooo rude!" "This is horrible!"

She even threw the iPhone 4 at my head. My Dad banned her from the store.

First of all, you know what's unfair? I get to work my ass of while you get everything you want and still bitch and whine about it. You don't have a job, so I hardly doubt you even have money for my paycheck.

The funny thing is, we are the only store that has the iPhone in my area and this girl went back and tried to get one. "To replace the one that got destroyed".

I said "You threw it at my head. Get out!"


My head is fine now, hurts like hell though.

I noticed that those people don't stick around on my facebook very long. I think they get tired of my happy posts. :D I'm also lucky that most of friends and family who are on there are positive, loving people who, even in bad times, manage to find the humor in life.

That said... my facebook rant is that it pisses me off that I quite often censor myself so as not to offend a few of my conservative Christian family members. It irks the hell out of me that they post Bible verses several times a day and go on about how great it is to have God in their lives, and that's fine. But if I hint at anything related to atheism, I'm being offensive. Fortunately, it's just a few folks, but even so. Tolerance, people!

Yeah, I'd do the same if it weren't such an easy way to be a lazy friend. :D But I do have some friends that moved away and had kids, so it's a little easier than calling them.

90 percent of my family is the same way and I feel like I have to tone down my sense of humor, language, etc. It is quite annoying!

Actually nope. I'm in Bloomington. We just got freezing rain and sleet. Enough to cause the school to cancel classes early. Thank God I wasn't in Indy.
 
Family Guy 30 minute episodes: 10 minutes commercials, 15 minutes filler, 5 minutes actully storyline.

My pet peeve is...
My mother is not computer literate and she is the worse person you want to help because if it doesn't work she thinks it is the machine's fault, not her!!!!

Devices that doesn't work for you but "obviously it works for the employer" I get that bit all the time. So I bring it home thinking the person knows what he/she says and then just turn around to bring it back. I found you don't have to have much experience you just need to know how to sale it. :) :(
I go to the computer store here who actually knows what they are talking about. And when I talk to them of the specs I want, they don't look down at me "I am a woman I guess I am suppose to be stupid when it comes to gadgets like these" :(

This really makes me want to spit...It's the second time i've purchased an expensive cell modem and had the sales folk say 'YES! It's unlimited data plan' only to have the carrier move to a five gig limit shortly thereafter. First was AT&T and then i got a way cool Virgin MiFi to use with my wifi only tablet. I would be angrier but i know when that branson guy buys the farm, sid vicious will be kicking his but for half of an eternity.

Ok,

So I read about the top 5% of Verizon users having their bandwidth being throttled ... So is it that they have lots of techies who use all the toys and BW so they need to have the network infrastructure, maintenance and expansion subsidized??

Basically I would use the 3G aspect very rarely and would be in the bottom 5% !!!!!!

I would just as soon have a plan where I'm charged for what BW I use or at least some granularity instead of one size fits all ...... They must feel that there is sufficient demand for them to make it a take it or leave it proposition... So If it's to rich for my blood then don't let the door hit me on the way out !!!!


I guess I'm going to wait for the worm to turn and for them to decide they want in betweens like me ! Another "featureLESS Phone it is !! ( Hear the gears grinding ??)


Let me know when your network doesn't need me to be a forced subsidizer instead of a subscriber !!! What ever happened to CHOICE ???

Restaurants that add the gratuity on the bill automatically. I will determine how much or how little gratuity is in order thank you!
