Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

It's slow-going - but the doctor said that if things continue at this rate, she'll pull through - they're down to 70% on the ventilator, her blood pressure is back to normal range, and the double-pneumonia is viral - so it has to run its course; the heart damage is still open to question, but they'll get to that once she's completely infection free, since she went septic. Also, the gastric bleeding when she was first admitted was due to the hurried insertion of a naso-pharyngeal GI tube (!). I'll only be happy when they change her status from critical/stable to guarded, or, goodness permitting, just stable. She's been through the wringer, but I have had my own version of the aforementioned. You know how it is, EM - when you love someone - someone that would've been picked up at the airport by me tomorrow - it's just a psychological nightmare, and my heart breaks - but, I'll just have to deal with it. EA games is single handed the worst game company there ever was. I bought need for speed most wanted for my Nexus 7 for 5 bucks. The game was not as advertised. The graphics were nothing but dark polygons and horrible controls. They don't have a customer support page, and they refused to refund my money!!! Screw ea.

I contacted Google, gave them a phone call and got in contact with their google play team. They were nice enough to tell my to uninstall the game, and they gave me a full refund.
Thanks google. Thats why I'm a fanboy. When something goes wrong, a phone call can fix it.

Was it faked or made up screenshots or something? To make the game look better than it really is.

It's nothing new, been like that for over 30 years now. Atari 2600 games would always show incredible artwork and game scenes on the packaging and marketing, but in reality they were always typical 2600 graphics of course.
 
Grr, once again I slipped and upgraded to the broken version of Google maps so now my phone has a on working GPS and uninstalling updates didn't get it working again.

No, its only for the Nexus 7 where the graphics are not what they say. The games is only 50% compatible with my device??? No, they should just say I can't buy it on my device if its going to look like crap. I really hate EA, but their a Monopoly so there's nothing I can really do about it.

I found that a small debt was good. What do is buy something for say $200 then pay $50 per month until its paid off that way the credit card company is getting a little bit of interest (profit) from me and my limits keep climbing and credit score keep going up. Paying it off every month didn't raise the score as fast as paying a couple $ in interest each month.

The smart thing to do is to make sure you have that $200 in a savings account just to be safe.

Get 'em, Stinky... only you can do it; problem is, is there are many sites hooked up to the jihad faction of the Islam faith that'll teach you how to make an IED using fertilizer and ammonium nitrate; no fusion bombs, yet... when the folks at CERN in Switzerland figure out the God particle, then, fusion will be a reality... until then, rant, my fellow Androidite...! When people know just enough science to come to completely the wrong conclusion.

I suppose the same can be said of when people know just enough about anything to get them into trouble, but something about the use of bad science to push views really irks me.
 
Google Play screwing up. "Apps for your Chromecast" on the front page of Play in China. :rolleyes: No VPN, Chinese IP address, i.e. not pretending to be in the United States.

here is what grinds my gears - busts my chops- ticks me off.

I CANT SEE MY FOREHEAD!!!!!

nah just kidding im mad cuz they dont make minecraft PE compatible with the prevails specs and it dont run on my phone........

also that gta 3 dont work on it even thoguh my windows 2000 pc can run it fine....
 
Well a couple of days ago, (new years eve to be exact!) I rooted my Huawei Ascend Plus H881C. It was working fine.... until I decided to partially install a new boot animation (it doesn't have one) and restart it. It got stuck in a boot loop, and a factory reset didnt help. Tried checking the official huawei site and all over the interwebs for a fix. None, there weren't even any help stuff on the Huawei site. It was as if the phone didnt exist.
 
Time Warner Cable. I can't believe how slow a high speed internet connection can be. It should not take 10 minutes to download a 100M file.
