Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

How about people that still thinks Apple makes good quality stuff.

I think they make a decent product. Just not as innovative as some companies. However, they are solid. That being said, I like my Note 3 too. I think that enjoying all forms of technology can be enjoyed.

And, I abhor half days at work because I'm anxious to either get there or to get away!

See what I mean.

Other companies may have a recurring issue or two, like Dell had some bad power supplies for laptops, Sony had exploding batteries, etc which an issue can happen sometime for a large company with a diverse product line. Apple has a relatively small number of products compared to other companies but has had power supply problems, battery problems, antenna problems, hinge problems, etc. They basically have one issue after another yet constantly get rated as having quality products.
Years ago I had pulled out my new Compaq Armada laptop at a client site and one of the IT gusy there was looking down his nose because it wasn't a Mac and was telling me how much better his Mac was so I told him to show me but he couldn't because it was 'in the shop'. I recall at least 6 different visits he was telling me how great his mac was, how much better quality it was than any PC yet it was in the shop 6 different times. This was a small client, maybe only as coule hundred Compaq deskpros and laptops and half a dozen Proliants but I made less than hardware 6 service calls on those couple hundred boxes as that one mac.
I saw that typical of many of my clients. PC's would out number macs at least 10-1 if not 100-1 but the macs would have just as many service calls.

Ground Hog's day is Sunday. This means that the TV crews will be covering the poor critters out of their burrows to check if they see their shadows . Did you ever see TV reporters without bright lights being used?

Bright lights cast shadows, so 6 more weeks of winter!!! :)

Oh well. Only 47 days more to go until spring. (Yes, I am counting the days.)

Then you'd better find a new deli.:D

I grew up there (MA), from birth through age 18. Attended guitar seminars at Berklee while still in high school, and I miss the delis on the North Shore... even when I was a kid (I turn 52 in June), the good delis had separate slicers for meat and cheese. Joe & Nemo had the kick-you-in-the-(insert expletive here) hot dogs; Valle Steak House near Chestnut Hill had THE Porterhouse or New York Strip steak, and Echo Bridge Caf

I can totally understand that. My bosses do the same thing. It's irritating when you put your all into something just for it to become their "Brilliant" idea. This probably happens to more people than they'd like to admit.

When you get in a relationship and things are going great, then find out your views on things are way different and not sure if you can deal with it.

Why would an eReader default to a font that does not display italics? That's like having a stereo music player that defaults to mono...

Make a big winter comfort food dinner, and I'm the only one that eats it.:(

No one else is home to have any.
