Healthy apparently. Although get full results of tests in 3 days. The chest X-ray showed something left from the shingles I had about 2 years ago, which is normal I believe. This is something I have to do as a foreigner working in the PRC. They don't want me dropping dead or bringing anything horrible into the country probably.

And now I have a 10 hour sleeper bus ride, Hohhot to Xilinhot.

Hey, it's not a bad idea to get jabbed, scoped and prodded every now and then to make sure you don't have an alien parasite or have been exposed to mutating gamma radiation (you did look a little green in that last selfie. ;) )

Should've seen the ID photos I had printed yesterday, cheapo printer, looking green as anything, and fit for only one thing...

I had a chest x-ray once while in the Philippines prior to coming home after 2 years.

It cost me in the range of $3-5, which I paid in coins. The machine looked like a leftover from the WW2 era. I got my x-ray back and my lungs DID NOT EVEN SHOW UP. Doctor signed off and said I was good to go. My buddy who was getting his x-ray at the same time was laughing his ass off.

You are so right. Windows 8/8.1, Flash & Java ineffective, bloatware from that hot place... the only app worth a damn is Classic Shell... totally disgusted with our C875D-S7105 laptop... if there was a completely supported OS out there that wouldn't frighten my fianc

The equipment they used for my tests looked very new, state of the art and quite expensive. I did note that both the X-ray and ultrasound were both made by Siemens. German engineering, gives an air of confidence. I could certainly see my lungs, and what was left of the shingles I had. When I had it two years ago, the school quack didn't recognise it, but the doctor at the local hospital did straight away.

Best of luck, mikedt - went through a case of shingles some years ago that was akin to neuro torture... be well, my ex-pat friend - don't you wish there was no such childhood disease called chicken pox?

Someone please tell me I am seeing things!! :eek::eek: I was driving along this morning and when i crossed over a bridge over an inlet to a local resevoir I saw along the bank of the resevoir a Maple tree. :eek: The leaves were turning red and yellow! :eek::eek: I just got over the nightmares caused by last winter and here we go again. The first signs of FALL!! Arrggghhh!!! No - Not yet - I won't accept it!! :mad:

No charge, Roach man. :D Sorry, I can't help you out with the aging stuff. The last time I spun the earth in the opposite direction, I got into SOooooo much trouble that they took my super powers away for a week. :(

And, of course, you know that if the earth comes to a sudden stop, we'll all fall over and can't get up. If everyone has fallen and can't get up, who's going to pick us up? The roaches *could* but I don't think they want to.

Don't think of it as getting older, think of it as recycling your molecular material. The atoms in your hair could solve the world's energy crisis!
