Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

I hate plumbing as well. Living in an older home, I start my plumbing projects at the problem and work my way towards the city water tower. :)

Been there, done that. At my last house, I had to rebuild my connection to the city water meter three times. Then there was the project to replace the main from the city connection all the way to the house...

Newer plumbing ain't necessarily that great either. Just this morning I found that a bad bathroom leak was caused by a loose valve. If I had known that's all it was I could have done it myself.

Low key anger, when I was at the gym a few minutes ago, noticed a key symbol next to my mobile data area, my blue tooth were not connecting, so I reseted it and wondering "Who the zombie punch did this?" but after refreshing my moto, it seem pretty much alright.

I really hate stairs when wearing mask, I fell and hit my head, well just the corner of my eye barely scraped it and hit my knee and also both of my palms, it was just on five stairs at my sister's local church, also my mother's boyfriend's ones too, I just supported her and met someone who meant the world to my sister, of a pastor..

(Checks vital signs yup still Levayism).. Still I do not want to fight with my mother or her boyfriend, that knew me forever..

Masks suck, but I guess they do the job if they're tight enough. Maybe if a sufficient number of people ever got vaccinated then we could have herd immunity. On the other hand, with the crazy fast spread of omicron, maybe most infections will end up being the breakthrough kind. This coronavirus is apparently here to stay. People want to get back to regular, which probably means tolerating some risk. I doubt many would have the will to deal with lockdowns again.

When you know what, you have to head to the gym on your usual mental days, but store up too much energy at the same time, at least I did small walks, still I hate just sitting and waiting for an event to pop on by.. I could not sleep at all last night either, so I am a bit cranky after only getting in four hours of rest.

Ya know those little nook you discover throughout your cupboards and you put an item super large into that? :)
Well yeah my medium size ones for those Tervis Tumblers we have Around maybe 17 of them, a few of them are of my mom and her bf got from Buffet Concert, I am thinking of donating a few of the back ones we do not drink of that often, and wash them.. :)

Today. Well, is my mother's birthday, so I was just hopping out of the shower, and she did not know on how long it takes me to shampoo everything, so I unpacked from the gym and got home around two p.m., right? Well I did knew on getting a bite to eat with her,it was already four p.m., but had too many messages online to read, so I left the email sort of standing then, so I shut down my comp, had an excellent birthday with her..
Nothing was stressful instead of waking up around five a.m., and puking white puke, meaning I was so dehydrated even drunk milk within that moment after chewing tums, and it is such a massive pain with about everyone who has GERD, and what really sort of hurt me in the end.. Was that, so I pumped myself with coffee and after working out, I felt free.. So light grinding my gears.

So last week I did a run to California, I was in and out. On my way to Utah I stop for the night in Yermo California it has a marine logistics base and Peggy Sue's dinner (it's a 50's dinner) food is okay. It has truck parking:D
So the next morning I walked over to the Vegas truck.stop and what do I see coffee bean and tea, I was thinking all right going to have some decent coffee.
The split second I saw it this red flag starting going.up, I ignore it, I was to focus on having a good cup of coffee.
I didn't try it before I left the store. Ten minutes later I was rolling down the i15 and took a huge gulp
The coffee was absolutely not something they serve at the coffee bean and tea , the garbage was farmer brothers coffee:spitoutdroid::thumbsdowndroid::maddroid: I was so mad

Home ownership is wonderful... until things start breaking and you have a bunch of stuff to repair and no money to do it with.

Especially plumbing. I hate plumbing.
Grandpa Pete the Nazi Cook;)
Grandpa Pete came from Latvia. During the second war Hitler's war machine rolled into his village and gave him a choice enlist or go for a one way walk in the woods.
He enlisted did a week of training and got assigned to be a cook. Don't know how long he was a Nazi cook o_O . But one day he was going about his job in the kitchen tent when he noticed a lot of the officers and soldiers getting in trucks, cars and jeeps leaving out in a hurry, he said they seem to be panicking.
Eventually he found himself a lone in the kitchen as the other workers ran away. He said he went about his job. He said he bent down to pick something up or get something when he stood up there were dozens and dozens of strange looking soldiers aiming rifles at him, he said they appear out of thin air.
They turned out to be the American army . I think he said it was 1943-1944 .
He became a pow. He said the Army treated him well, beyond well. He was bounced around Europe with other POWs
Then one day someone told him he was being transferred to some place called Texas.
In Texas he was still a pow as they were still trying to figure out who was who. He eventually got put into a trade program and that trade program was a plumbing job training ;)
He ended up staying in Texas for several years and then move to California ended up living in San Francisco, became a us citizen, had his own plumbing business. He passed away back in the late 90's
For the record Grandpa Pete never killed anyone

International semi trucks:mad:o_O:oops::maddroid::maddroid::maddroid::thumbsdowndroid:
So I deliver a load to Texas. By the time I made the delivery, got fuel and got parked I had roughly an hour left on my 70 work clock. My goal was to do a 34 hour reset and get rolling yesterday.
Thursday morning around 2am I woke up because it was cold I got up started up the truck which had trouble starting up but finally did and then shut off.
I tried to start it a second time, same result.
I thought it was the battery. Since I was doing a reset I couldn't do anything until Friday.
Waited all day Friday for road side service to come out, they finally got to me this morning.
Turns out my problem isn't the batteries I have some kind of fuel pressure problem.
The truck is going to be towed to a dealership Monday or Tuesday

I am going to end up tossing about $40-$50 dollars worth of food. I haven't been able to run the truck since Thursday for more than 30 seconds haven't been able to charge up the batteries which means I wasn't able to charge the refrigerator, which Thursday and Friday wasn't a problem since it was cold and the contents in the refrigerator stayed cold however it has been getting warmer
I am so bleeping mad thinking about it:maddroid:

I am not going to date anyone in the flesh, no matter who dropped the name off of it either, I have not broke her heart up, and besides in my room I have various of momentos with us together, honestly it will be like stepping throughout another wormhole if I did.
But ultimately no communication and she had a few children last year with someone else. And hockeypuck with fire ontop of it, why would her mother decided to make us more together, even though I barely text her oh just about a spell or two..
Seriously it is not me or her, is the timing was really bad, like a 90s modem sound bad.

That is actually a pretty cool story.

Sorry for all that. I'm sure the food loss pale in comparison to the lost earnings. Hope everything gets sorted.

So far I have lost around $400 in earnings I would have made. The truck is scheduled to be towed on either Monday or Tuesday and there is no telling how long it could be down.

Okay low key anger, how come almost every time I try to do something brand new it takes a huge while for my brain to catch up, I get it - I have ADHD, but spaghetti and meatballs with a side order of static lol :)

Pro Bowls in Football needs to end, they look like pop warner scrimmage games.

In the NFL that is.

Is there some way you could move it to some kind of cold storage? Maybe a fellow trucker could help. Worst case scenario might be Styrofoam coolers and bags of ice.

So the first issue with the was resolved, however a second issue was found with truck a leak or something with a break chamber, so now it's waiting for approval for that repair.
