Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

I hate being clean shaven, I have to have at least a thin layer of stubble so a wet shave doesn't work for me. I got a totally awesome beard trimmer for Xmas a few years back but my son dropped it in the bath so I've been using a cheapo set of clippers since then. I suppose I should invest in a decent set again now.

Unnecessary expense also grinds my gears.
 
Reminds me of when my son saw that claymation movie "Flushed Away". I had to tear the toilet and about 20' of the drains out to find the clog. There were cars, legos, Ninja Turtles and little green army men in there. Amungst other things. :mad:

You and me both.

So does laryngitis. I can talk (to my husband's disappointment :D ), and my throat doesn't hurt, but I sound pretty awful.
 
People that ASSUME! Just because they think something is cool, I don't have to.

Bug me and you will get told said item is a piece of crap.
 
This instructor seems to think that my life revolves around her schedule. Her postings on assignment due dates are always last minute after refusing to talk to the students about the assignment for weeks, she posts test out times the day before, and just now she canceled an appointment I had with her and had the nerve to tell me she'll meet me two hours later. Like I'm going to just sit my arse right here and wait for two hours because she couldn't get here. I have a son. I have other classes. I have no time for this nonsense.

With this time that I should be in the meeting I will use my voice, which will be raised, to express my disgust to the head of the department. Her office is a mere twenty paces to the east...
 
I'm not the first to complain about her. She is a very kind woman, but her mind is not able to keep up with the paces of the real world. She's in over her head, and it is a disservice to the student body to keep her employed in this capacity.
 
I think the earbud wires come alive when we aren't using them. They tie better knots in themselves than anyone I know!

Anyways, what grinds my gear is when i don't get enough time to be on here. :)
