Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Promotions that are not even like, oh saying "Tonight only on this station, tune in right now, in a few hours"
Instead I get "tune in years from now" in my head, but in revelatary theory they are only a spell from now.
I really do not like watching much ads though, but the Digger one of where Tom Cruise rocks the soccer ball was so awesome.

fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffiretruck my media is still pinned up even though I have it toggled, I am going to probably fdr this if the problem presist, I tested it a few times already....

I have ordered a new starter for my 2011 Toro Grandstand. It is to be delivered in the AM tomorrow. I pulled the old starter off of the Kawasaki engine this afternoon. I was glad that I have a battery operated impact driver. It rattled a 12mm socket quite a while before it shook the two anchoring bolts loose. I'm satisfied they were tighter than needed fifteen years ago and they hadn't gotten any looser through the years. I'm just happy that I didn't strip the hex heads or break the bolts.

The bolts reminded me of a rant I've had on my mind since 1978. It was the year that I bought a new TransAM. I went to change the oil after the initial 500 mile or whatever break in and found it was welded to the block... or so it seemed. My filter wrench crushed the filter. I bought a smaller wrench and it just crushed the filter more. I finally drove a screwdriver through the filter and used it to twist the remaining crushed filter off of my brand new car. I have no idea why it was put on so tightly. At the time, I thought it was installed by a pissed off employee.

The weather is putting the big hurt on the mowing business. The grass is shutting down to protect itself. Leaves are falling from trees. With the watering restrictions, the heat, and the lack of rain, the area is distressed. Yesterday I skipped mowing two lawns that I have mowed for over a decade and have never missed a week mowing. I imagine that I'll mow around half of my lawns this week. I see no relief in the near future. I can well remember the days when I was counting on that income. Now, mowing is a something to do for me. The large contractors, with contracts, will mow weekly if all the yard has left is dirt. It's the little one man mow guy that's taking a big hit in the wallet. I'm just sorry to see the yards that I strive to make attractive burn up.

I decided I'd continue my rant. :)
For the past twenty five years or so, all of the new additions of this town were required to plant fescue grass. It is a early to turn green, late to go dormant, pretty grass that grows well North of here. This area is on the edge of wide use of the grass because of the heat. It takes a lot of water, added nutrients, overseeding, and does not spread or grow onto the hard surfaces. Bermuda is the native grass that everyone battles to keep out of their fescue. It loves the hot, far less water, and spreads on its own. It is the native grass for a reason. Now that the area is dry and has watering restrictions, those new additions and their commons areas are looking quite sad at best. Stupid

Really so it sounds like the edge 2026 is almost the same softwear as I have though, it will take up an hour and half or so to get everything from what I needed inside a cellphone, I just system anhiliated my cell an hour ago, I feel alright since it is either the inside the UI bug or anything else.
I swear it is a crackerjack on the UI, I did test it out without any apps, ten taps to make the window go into the desktop mode...
I swear it is a little devil inside, I swear, I am not insane! :)

A few nights ago I was eating chips and dip when I felt a pain in a tooth. It was too early to decide which tooth was hurting and days later I'm still guessing. It has continued to be more painful so I called my cardiologist and then my dentist. My meds are fine to continue taking thought whatever procedure I'm up against and I have an appointment with my dentist a WEEK from today. Seriously... I don't know if I can hang on that long. They are to call out an antibiotic that I hope has some effect on decreasing the pain. I hate tooth pain and I'm not one that puts up with it. I have pulled a number of my teeth to escape the pain and it's not beyond me to pull another.
