Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Promotions that are not even like, oh saying "Tonight only on this station, tune in right now, in a few hours"
Instead I get "tune in years from now" in my head, but in revelatary theory they are only a spell from now.
I really do not like watching much ads though, but the Digger one of where Tom Cruise rocks the soccer ball was so awesome.

fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffiretruck my media is still pinned up even though I have it toggled, I am going to probably fdr this if the problem presist, I tested it a few times already....

I have ordered a new starter for my 2011 Toro Grandstand. It is to be delivered in the AM tomorrow. I pulled the old starter off of the Kawasaki engine this afternoon. I was glad that I have a battery operated impact driver. It rattled a 12mm socket quite a while before it shook the two anchoring bolts loose. I'm satisfied they were tighter than needed fifteen years ago and they hadn't gotten any looser through the years. I'm just happy that I didn't strip the hex heads or break the bolts.

The bolts reminded me of a rant I've had on my mind since 1978. It was the year that I bought a new TransAM. I went to change the oil after the initial 500 mile or whatever break in and found it was welded to the block... or so it seemed. My filter wrench crushed the filter. I bought a smaller wrench and it just crushed the filter more. I finally drove a screwdriver through the filter and used it to twist the remaining crushed filter off of my brand new car. I have no idea why it was put on so tightly. At the time, I thought it was installed by a pissed off employee.

Right about a few minutes ago, my hearing aid wire broke in two, I am glad to be at home, and my right one functions, I can do without my left one for a spell...

The weather is putting the big hurt on the mowing business. The grass is shutting down to protect itself. Leaves are falling from trees. With the watering restrictions, the heat, and the lack of rain, the area is distressed. Yesterday I skipped mowing two lawns that I have mowed for over a decade and have never missed a week mowing. I imagine that I'll mow around half of my lawns this week. I see no relief in the near future. I can well remember the days when I was counting on that income. Now, mowing is a something to do for me. The large contractors, with contracts, will mow weekly if all the yard has left is dirt. It's the little one man mow guy that's taking a big hit in the wallet. I'm just sorry to see the yards that I strive to make attractive burn up.

I decided I'd continue my rant. :)
For the past twenty five years or so, all of the new additions of this town were required to plant fescue grass. It is a early to turn green, late to go dormant, pretty grass that grows well North of here. This area is on the edge of wide use of the grass because of the heat. It takes a lot of water, added nutrients, overseeding, and does not spread or grow onto the hard surfaces. Bermuda is the native grass that everyone battles to keep out of their fescue. It loves the hot, far less water, and spreads on its own. It is the native grass for a reason. Now that the area is dry and has watering restrictions, those new additions and their commons areas are looking quite sad at best. Stupid

Really so it sounds like the edge 2026 is almost the same softwear as I have though, it will take up an hour and half or so to get everything from what I needed inside a cellphone, I just system anhiliated my cell an hour ago, I feel alright since it is either the inside the UI bug or anything else.
I swear it is a crackerjack on the UI, I did test it out without any apps, ten taps to make the window go into the desktop mode...
I swear it is a little devil inside, I swear, I am not insane! :)

A few nights ago I was eating chips and dip when I felt a pain in a tooth. It was too early to decide which tooth was hurting and days later I'm still guessing. It has continued to be more painful so I called my cardiologist and then my dentist. My meds are fine to continue taking through whatever procedure I'm up against and I have an appointment with my dentist a WEEK from today. Seriously... I don't know if I can hang on that long. They are to call out an antibiotic that I hope has some effect on decreasing the pain. I hate tooth pain and I'm not one that puts up with it. I have pulled a number of my teeth to escape the pain and it's not beyond me to pull another.

Speaking of teeth, I had my chriopratic accidental unscrewed a screw of my tooth that is been not bothering me at all, but due to the roots being weak like, it just gave up, but that is the same one I had root canal surgery about oh 10 years ago and since my chrio used to twist my head a lot, and I ate and slept since then, but this was like duration of when I went all the time, and mom just discovered it and she wants me to put a new tooth in and, I already talked with my dentist and said "nope.." It has been sometime of where I asked few dentist about it and they said "there is nothing that we can do about that Milo..." It is just a space of where my tounge is so used to dig out food out, and it is not in pain or anything... It was not my fault that it got twisted..

I read or saw some report that said something like 60% of root canals weren't necessary and were generally done for some kind of insurance kick back

Another thing that is seriously grinding my gears is summer time, I absolutely hate summer,:poweredbydroid::thumbsdowndroid: I have a hard time sleeping, I was home yesterday and for the first in weeks I got a decent night's sleep, tonight it's back on the truck

I'm the very opposite Joe. I love the hot and sweaty. I love working out of doors and riding my bicycle. Both are difficult at best in the extreme winter months. I will admit that I want to be cold at night and enjoy pulling the covers over my shoulders winter and summer.

This option seems pricy but I would think the smaller units would freeze your butt off.
12-volt DC air conditioner is a specialized off-grid cooling solution designed for RVs, camper vans, semi-trucks, and small cabins. Operating directly on DC power without needing an inverter, typical units range from $480 to $850 USD, offer 9,000 to 12,000 BTU capacities, and draw between 45A to 80A of power during operation. The is a real bummer Pit!!!

I went through my pictures just tonight. I was looking for pics taken at my 50th surprise b-day party. I was trying to find the last picture of my father before he had a stoke. He was 30 years old the year I was born so he was 80 at the party. I was looking to see how much hair the man still had being as mine is quickly getting out of Dodge. I have six more years before I turn 80, if I should be so fortunate. He had more hair at 80 than I have at 74. Maybe my parents were right about wearing my hair down to my waist for a decade and then losing it early. I told my wife tonight after my shower that I will run out of hair before I run out of shampoo. 🤣

I feel almost found together after losing my Aunt, may I say this, and grief really helped me a better way how to grief over her through my personality melted in her side of the personality too.
I got up at two in the morning in pain with my lower back yikes, kept flairing up... I should feel better though, but on the up and up I got a senior diet coke today yay!

Yesterday was shopping at Walmart, and like 50 Blu Ray movies I did not knew, and they where pratically new and my sister saids "maturing" I reply "No just fast foward through the commericals..." :)

Me mature nah....:) I am a clown still.

The asserocirty icon, the little guy, when I tap it once, it will not respond, so every time I have to switch it on and off..
I am about.....almost half way paying off this snotnose little mustard seed of a cellphone, and then off to the 2026...
Yeah woooooooooo....... I think I have my heart set on it... HEre it is in August.

I'm not fond of visiting my dentist. I've been his patient for decades and I'll admit that he is very skilled at extracting teeth and money from your wallet. The antibiotics that he called out for me a week ago worked wonders on the pain I was having. After my third dose, I was able to catch a bit of sleep off and on. As the days passed and with continuation of the antibiotics, the pain was gone today when my long awaited appoint was scheduled. I thought I might as well go and have the tooth professionally scrutinized. Sure enough, it was cracked down the middle so it's now history. I hope I quit bleeding sometime today. My throat is getting sore.
