Root recovery/rom

well i decided im going to switch over to Amon-ra 3.08 now i just dont know which Rom to run... or which kernel. anyone have a good suggestion for a great rom/kernel combo?

really is going to depend on what you like.

If ASOP I like xplod and tiamat 3.3.7

if Sense I like Swag and Freedom More 9
 
is Amon-ra only for AOSP roms or will it run any rom? i know the new Amon-ra 3.08 i downloaded accepts nandroids too now. just curious because if i dont like the AOSP roms im going to stick with mikg roms. i personally love his work.
 
Amon Ra is simply a recovery just like many others. Any ROM will work on any recovery (given that they are made for our device).
 
CM7 is great also. I just sugest you start flashing them and see what you like. Just make sure you have a nandroid with the wimax keys backed up.
Flash a rom and if you dont like it just nandroid back to what you are use to or flash another.

CM7 is great. But I prefer decks build. CM7 is mass produced across many different devices. Decks build takes the CM7 base and cleans it up and is more tailored towards the Evo. With that said, performance seems about the same to me with regular use, but if you check the decks thread on XDA, there are some people who are pretty hardcore in favor of decks over CM7. Bottom line is just go with whatever feels better on your device. It all seems about the same for me.
