TWRP is pretty much the only choice. The lollipop version will work with lollipop and KitKat. Just be aware of what I mentioned in that post you quoted.

Are there any prerequisites before flashing modded Twrp?

should i 'flash' as is or modify ramdisk to more resemble our Volt's. And is it better to dd into mmcblk0p17 or just use Flashify/Rashr?

Not sure what you're asking for a screenshot of... I just flashed it with Flashify.

Will factory reset with TWRP remove my PagePlus carrier flash? I want to put it back to the untouched stock ROM, but I don't want it to mess up my PagePlus carrier status, because they no longer accept flashed phones.
