Root [RECOVERY] TWRP 2.8.1.0

No, other than the radio, which doesn't install with the zip. There seems to be an issue with how twrp is installing it. I'm running the zv4.zip (installed via cwm) just fine.

I have a small issue..
I flashed the updated stock ROM after wiping everything except internal and SD.
It boots fine but my phone says service disconnected and a x on signal bars. I tried twice and same result...i tried the different dialer codes to reset and all that would happen is a reboot. Still no network connection. it is the same zip I used with cwm and I had no issues...
Restoring my backup works fine and all is good now.
Let me know if there is something I can try or log for you.

This exact thing happened to me as well. I backed up with it, wiped everything completely clean, installed debloated rom, had the X. Wiped again, flashed radio -> rom....same thing. Wiped again flashed radio ->rom -> radio....same thing. When restoring everything was fine as well.

I partitioned my External SD with TWRP it claims to have "failed" but the partition succeeded.
I now have 32gb /swap(swap) /sd-ext(ext4) / (fat32)
readable in CWM, Philz and TWRP

I never use twrp to do my partitions. I anyways use partition magic on my PC. Works every time perfectly.

I have a suggestion. Has anyone tried flashing the radio...through fastboot?
Make sure you are unlocked and have laf erased.
(fastboot flash radio /path/to/radio.img)
Maybe it'll work..who knows. I'm not too confident with my phone yet that I want to lose my IMEI/ESN because that would be a pickle to restore without MSL from Virgin.

It's likely that that would work, but the point here is not to have to do that.

All of that info got wiped out on my phone a few times testing these recoveries, but installing correctly restores them. The info is still in the hardware, it's just not being picked up by the software when these recoveries install a ROM for some reason.

Ah, OK got it. So as of now the only recovery that can correctly flash radio/ROM is CWM?

New issue (?). I needed to get rid of a folder in the internal storage that could not be deleted by normal means so I decided to format it out. I copied everything from the internal storage to a folder on my external SD except the folder I wanted to eliminate. Booted into TWRP, went to wipe > advanced wrote, selected internal storage only and wiped. All seemed well, internal storage was cleared, including the offending folder. However, when I went to copy the data from my external SD back over, it was formatted as well.

Fortunately, nothing serious was lost, but I did lose all app data that was stored there. :/

Wanted to make you aware of the issue.

thanks for that, ill see if i can recreate it. im working more heavily on cm11 right now, so it may be a bit before i can get to it.

Hey, nevermind on this...apparently I somehow put the files I copied off in the LOST.DIR folder. The card was otherwise cleaned out so when I didn't see the backup folder at root level, I thought it had been wiped. I only noticed because l2sd said there was 1.5GB used on my ext-sd. All is well, sorry for the false alarm!

Hey better to be overly cautious lol, all these recoveries and Roms are still uncharted waters for us right now, there's many things that could happen, let's just hope the right things happen. :)

Hey guys/gals, this is still in the back of my mind. I'm perplexed why the radio works with this in cm11 but not the stock ROM, and will eventually figure it out. There should be a new release soon, no etas since I'm working on cm11 heavily.
