Root [RECOVERY] TWRP 2.8.1.0

I've attempted to install a ROM again, same result. Everything in Phone Status was Unknown. Tried installing donjuro's radio.zip with no change.

Was able to completely wipe the phone and restore from backup though, so no harm done. :)
To be honest I was not convinced i needed to install the radio after installing the zv4 rom. I never installed the radio after flashing from zv3 using CWM and its working fine for me. I flashed TWRP and i'm going to factory reset the zv4 rom now.

That's with CWM though... Have you flashed a ROM with this TWRP? This is where the issue is coming in.

I just did a factory reset on it using TWRP and i now i have no "home" but i updated the PRL via setings and got data rolling. Ill see what else happens later...

I persuaded google play store to install a launcher from PC. that works. im still having a "mobileID failure" thats annoying but no idea what or why its complaining.

Well duh, delete a system app and of course it's going to be gone when I factory reset!

Lol nice.

Please see my post in the philz thread, I haven't forgot about you guys, and there will be further releases of all these recoveries and eventually a ROM. Bugs will get fixed, and hopefully I can get bad_mofo some more sources to throw up on github here soon for you guys to help too.

I did not factory reset on either attempt...any chance that would make a difference?

I would really like this one to be fully functional. I like the fact that it allows you to select which parts to backup since I typically only need to backup the data portion, not the whole thing.

(YAY editing it back!)

It's my lunch break. That means it's time to "break" something I love. I will wipe and flash a clean zv4 TWRP only. Time me, and, go!

Emmc is usually a bad sign...

Emmc is what we have to deal with, there aren't many tutorials on google about defining mount points for non mtd devices. Im pretty sure boot, recovery and misc were emmc on stock, ill double check when i get home. I'm still looking into things, if you have a theory to test and need code to look at its in the op. Thanks for posting those logs.

Did you factory reset after flashing the radio? We've determined that donjuro's original v4 ROM does not flash radio or recovery.
Not after the radio, shoud it matter? I did ##reset it which did not help. The about phone status was totaly blanked. "No sim" no data.. wifi worked.

I'm not talking about ##reset# (not sure that's a thing?), I mean a factory reset, in the backup & reset menu.

I don't know if it work or not. I forgot to try it myself and don't really want to flash everything again.

I have tried factory reset and no go. There is no baseband listed and service disconnected

The camera will also not connect. In previous phones I've had I recall camera and baseband issues were generally kernel related, so I tried flashing the boot.IMG separately and still have nothing.

Is there something in the zv4.zip I should remove, or try and push after I flash?
