got a call from bb yesterday that the phones were in and set an appointment for Friday to get mine set up. I had to set a late appointment though ecause I'm out of town. Woe is me. lol
 
Awoke to a shipping conformation! Order was placed 6-21 @ 1226pm EST and billed to account. Delivery is scheduled for Wednesday, 06/22/2011, by 3:00 P.M. (by end of day for residential deliveries). Looks like UPS scanned it into their system at 1127 last night with sprint delivering the news at 0120a. Hope the rest of you all get similar news :)
 
Just woke up to a shipping confirmation as well. I was one that ordered minutes after the link was posted and went to bed last night thinking I wouldn't get it until Thursday!

I think what he's saying is that a sprint rep on a forum, can't really give a guarantee or it wouldn't count as a guarantee. If you tried calling CS saying it was guaranteed by someone on a forum, they wouldn't acknowledge it.

Notice when you order it says 2 to 5 days. Technically they don't have to do next day. She was just letting you know how they're doing it, but if they mess up and it's 2 to 5, you can't complain.

If you ordered today you might only get it a day early if that. Who knows what their supply is right now. I would call to make sure.

Ordering is more convenient for me, since I don't want to leave work early like I did last year and also mail in rebates are about to start back up before the launch if you don't go to Best Buy or Radio Shack.
 
Mine is out for delivery. I had it shipped to the office so I should have it in my hands around lunch time. What sucks is the UPS hub is walking distance from my office yet the route brings the driver back around this way about noon.
 
Woohoo, no e-mail, but finally have tracking number assigned. Indicates it will be here today. Ordered at 11:30 PM CST the night the link was posted so was one that got cancelled and reordered. Don't know how I'm going to get any work done today.
 
Mine went out for delivery @ 7:29.

I am going to a concert tonight so I won't have much time between work and that to play with it. I almost wish it wouldn't arrive until tomorrow, because it is going to kill me to have it in hand and then have to put it back down and wait until tomorrow.
 
So I'm prepping my EVO 4G for it's retirement party today. I have my apps synced with AppBrain. When I get my 3VO, do I just install AppBrain again and re-sync? Or do I need to do something else so AppBrain knows I have a new device.

P.S...My EVO 4G, which has been good to me since last year, is being adopted by my brother in law......so we will see each other again.
 
I'm pretty sure that's how AppBrain works. Just make sure you have wifi or 4G enabled before you do. Even the standard Backup Assistant will redownload apps it noticed you're missing. And if you only have 3G...it's painful.

I'm at work and I get 4G in my office. But usually i'll just take my phone up front where our WiFi is strong and put my phone in my mailbox while it downloads everything ;)

Went to bed with nothing and still haven't gotten a shipment e-mail.

But when I checked order status for both me and my wife they have both shipped (looks like they put them in one package despite being different orders). Was a little scared when the tracking said adverse weather conditions may affect delivery but it's arrived in the general area and I'm hoping it'll be out for delivery soon.

No way I'm leaving my workplace today, I need to make sure I get it in my hands as soon as it arrives. I can't wait. Guess it's time to keep refreshing the UPS website now ;)

Ordered at around 9:10 CST on 6/21/11. Guess I shouldn't have panicked at the backorder thing.

i'm at work and phone will be waiting at home when i arrive. if it get's delivered early, i may head home to grab it quick but not likely. should have had it delivered to work!
 
I wish UPS had GPS locators on the truck and showed a mapped out computer planned path it will be taking during the day on their website...maybe one day ;)

Everytime I have a package like this en route, I go to the hub with a gun and hold the entire place hostage until they find my package.

Currently using my new EVO 3D from the county lockup.

But having the GPS locator on the truck would be AWESOME. But I have a feeling that would result in people giving UPS a lot of hassle because: "Based on the GPS route he passed my house an hour ago and he should have stopped instead of coming back later". Or people interrupting the driver to get their stuff earlier.

What would be pretty cool is the system the local furniture store around here has. On delivery day you can log in and track your shipment. They give you the 2 hour window the day before, but this will show you a break down of their orders that day, where in line you fall, and when the driver arrives and leaves each destination.

So we could enter the tracking # in UPS' system and it would show our packaged is on Truck A and you are the 40th person on the route. Currently the truck is enroute to person #25's house. Could probably contain an ETA based on past records and current delivery speeds.
 
WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO....got all of the tracking info and should be here by 3pm today!!! It is already in my town for delivery!!! I ordered as soon as the link went live and one of those that got cancelled and reordered.

This is a birthday present for me. I might make my wife wrap it just so I can tear into like a little kid. Anyway, I think I will be unrooting my 4G and put it in the drawer. What an amazing phone it has been(and still is). I am surely hoping this one carries on in the tradition.
